고려가요의 텍스트성 분석 - 응결성과 응집성을 중심으로

Abstract

본 연구에서는 텍스트언어학의 일곱 가지 텍스트성 중, 응결성과 응집성을 중심으로 국문가사 고려가요 14수를 분석해 보았다. 그 동안 텍스트언어학 이론이 우리나라에 도입되어 문학과 학제간 연구로서 현대문학 작품들에 대한 분석의 많은 성과들이 있었지만, 고전문학 작품 분석은 아직 미약한 형편이며 특히 고려가요에 대한 분석은 거의 없었다는 점에서 본 연구의 시사점은 크다고 생각한다. 응결성을 충족시키는 장치로는 회기(recurrence), 부분회기 (partial recurrence), 병행 구문(junctive expressions) 등이 있는데 본 연구에서는 고려가요에 나타난 이들 장치들이 어떠한 효과를 거두고 있는가를 분석하였다. 응집성은 텍스트 전체에 관련되는 주제 구조를 중심으로 한 응집성이 있을 수 있고, 전체 텍스트의 응집성을 이루기 위한 부분 응집성이 있을 수 있는데, 전체 응집성은 거시 구조(주제 구조)라 할 수 있고, 부분 응집성은 미시 구조라 할 수 있다. 따라서 다음과 같은 결론을 얻을 수 있???다. 1. 응결성 장치 중에서는 회기법의 사용이 가장 두드러진다. 그리고 회기 되는 어휘가 집중된다는 점을 회기 현상의 특징으로 들 수 있다. 이것은 텍스트 생산자가 발화 의도를 텍스트 수용자의 인지 공간에 활성화시켜 오래 기억하도록 하기 위함으로 생각된다. 주제는 다르더라도 고려가요의 공통적 정서인 ‘한’을 역설하고 재확인하려는 심리의 반영으로 설명할 수 있다. 2. 대용형은 서경별곡에서 전조응이 1회 나타낸다. 후조응 대용형은 사용되지 않는다. 표층 텍스트에서 자기 주장과 정서를 정확하게 표현하고자 하는 텍스트 생산자의 의도라고 생각된다. 3. 접속 표현 중, 대등접속은 병렬관계 접속만 ‘동동’에서 나타낸다. 발화 의도를 종속접속에 의한 문장 표현이 더 적합한 것으로 여긴 텍스트 생산자의 의도라고 생각된다. 종속접속으로는‘인과관계 접속, 조건관계 접속, 양보관계 접속, 순차관계 접속, 설명관계 접속’등 다양하게 나타난다. 전술 언급인 선행 발화와 후술 언급인 후행 발화와의 관계에 따른 효과를 최대화하려는 텍스트 생산자의 의도로 여겨진다. 4. 고려가요의 응집성 분석을 통해서는 거시 구조와 미시 구조를 살핌으로써 14수가 지니는 공통점과 차이점을 찾아내려 하였?나 확실한 논의에 도달하지는 못하였다. 대신 개별 작품 분석으로 귀착되었다. 거시 구조는 미시 구조에 어떤 정신적 활동을 적용시킴으로써 이해하는 동안에 형성되는데 주로 일반화 규칙 중, 주로 명제의 연쇄에 의지하고 있다. 그리고 작품마다 주제를 효과적으로 드러내기 위해 미시 구조들이 단단한 응집성을 이루면서 거시 구조를 형성하고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다|This study analysed 14 pieces of Gorye Gayo focused on two properties of the seven textuality of text-linguistics, cohesion and coherence. So far, theories of text-linguistics have been introduced to Korea, and there have been many analyses on works of modern literature, but there are only a few studies on classic literature. This study has a great meaning in that it is a study on Gorye Gayo that there have been only a few studies. Devices that satisfy cohesion include recurrence, partial recurrence, and junctive expressions, and this study analysed what effects such devices that appear in Gorye Gayo have. Coherence is categorized into as follows: coherence focusing on plots related to whole text, and partial coherence for coherence of whole text. This study found that whole coherence is in respect to a macro structure and partial coherence to a micro structure. Therefore, the following results were obtained: 1. Of the cohesion devices, recurrence is the most remarkable. It is suggested that recurring vocabulary contributes to better concentration. It is thought that it is intended for a text producer to keep his intention of utterance alive in cognizant space of text accepter for long memory. It can be explained as a reflection of mind to emphasize and reconfirm ' grudge' a common emotion of Gorye Gayo in spite of different subjects. 2. For Dae-yong-hyung, Jeon-jo-eung appears in Segyong-bol-gok once. Hu-jo-eung Dae-yong-hyung is not used. It is believed that it is an intention of a text producer to express his opinion and emotion exactly in surface text. 3. For coordinate connection, only parallel connecters appear in "Dong-dong" . It is believed that it is an intention of a text producer who thought expression using subordinate connection as more appropriate. Various tools such as cause-effect connection, conditional connection, concessive connection, sequential connection and explanative connection are used for subordinate connection. It is thought that it is an intention of text producer to maximize effects of relations between precedent utterance and following utterance. 4. This study intended to identify common and different things of the 14 songs by speculating their macro structures and micro structures through an analysis on coherence of Gorye Gayo, but it did not obtain clear results. Macro structure is formed during understanding through application of a certain mental activity to micro structure, and mainly depends on chains of propositions among generalization rules. This study found that micro structures make macro structures while making firm coherence to show subjects effectively.
