- Abstract
- In recent years, digital technology associated with semi-conduct and superhigh frequency accessories has developed with speed.
Digital methods have been substituted for analog methods in all kind of commercial and home appliance. Unfortunately, unnecessary electromagnetic waves generated by the digital devices has caused numerous negative effects and they are still increasing. These electromagnetic waves are the fourth largest factor in causing the environmental pollution followed by household waste, gas emissions, and wastewater.
Sometime the dysfunction of devices may be caused by the interactive electromagnetic waves disturbance when they are closely placed each other. Also, some study and report said critical problem may occur in case living bodies are exposed continuously and strongly in these waves. Other research institutions including WHO has released the report about the negative effect of the electromagnetic waves, but there still isn’t a clear proof about it.
The most concerning problems created by electromagnetic waves, among other issues, probably is the unnecessary electromagnetic waves caused by the electric home appliances that we use everyday. In these days, customer's desire is various, many home appliances come out to satisfy this desire, getting smaller and lighter owing to advancement of electrical, electronic and material engineering, but it seems to be not enough to study and research how to reduce damage from unnecessary electromagnetic.
The objectives of this paper is to investigate a severity of electromagnetic waves damaging without being sensed, heard nor felt, and bad effects upon human bodies and electrical appliances.
The paper will examine regulations formulated in order to reduce damages from unnecessary electromagnetic waves, measure unnecessary electromagnetic waves of home appliances and make a actual measurement shielding effect and analyze performance of the effect with electromagnetic wave shielding systems based on shielding theory. Also, the paper will propose how we can reduce damages from unnecessary electromagnetic waves based on the data in the paper.
