지리산 집중호우 특성에 관한 연구

This study was examined the characteristics of synoptic meteorology about the heavy rainfall because of the low pressure, the stationary front and typhoon for 10 years(1991~2000).
The results of this study are summarized as following.
1. It had been presented that the number of times of the heavy rainfall were 70 times for the latest 10 years and 7 times a year. And they were due to the low pressure(20 times), the stationary front (25 times), typhoon(20 times) and so on(5 times).
2. The heavy rainfall regions related to the topographical characteristics of Mt. Jiri are presented as following.
- The southern slope(the valley of Ssanggyesa) and the eastern slope(the valley of Daewonsa, Jungsanri) with the center of Chunwangbong(1,915m) in the eastern region of Mt. Jiri.
- The southern slope of Banyabong(Nogodan, Piagol, and the valley Hwaumsa).
3. The preceding phenomenon of the heavy rainfall is to predict the time that the region around Mt. Jiri became the warm area of the front, after analyzing the weather situation when the stream line was inflowed to the coastal region.
4. The long occluded front was formed to the southern sea of Jeju island when the low pressure was passed. And the rainfall broke out when the convergence of the hot moisture proceeding northward was inflowed to the southern coastal region from the east China sea and the subtropical high pressure.
5. In the case of the stationary front, the intensity of the rainfall was bigger when the frontal zone was inclined form northeast to southeast then when it was paralleled to the latitude. And the heavy rainfall often occurred at the center of the small low pressure over the frontal zone and the rugged mountain.
6. The heavy rainfall related to the passing low pressure or the location of the stationary front appeared in the case that the center of low pressure and the stationary front was formed in the north of Mt. Jiri and the region over Mt. Jiri was located in the warm area.
7. The heavy rainfall over Mt. Jiri because of the typhoon occurred in the case that Mt. Jiri was located the right side of the path of typhoon and .between typhoon and mT.
8. The heavy rainfall over Mt. Jiri adjacently near the south coast often appeared in the case that the tropical air current and typhoon was flowed into Hwanam region and was gone northward with the much of moisture and energy.
9. In the satellite images, the heavy rainfall appeared often in the case that the convection clouds with a round shape was paralleled to the clod front.
10. In the radar echo images, the heavy rainfall appeared at the region of the strong echo in the early stage, as the time passed the shape of the echo was changed to and the another rainfall was continued.
