朴崍賢 회화의 抽象的 造形性 硏究

Abstract

본고는 우향 박래현(1920-1976)의 작품과 그의 추상적 조형세계를 고찰한 것이다. 박래현의 조형적 예술은 한국회화사에 있어서 근대에서 현대로 이어주는 초석을 마련하는데 크게 기여 하였으며, 특히 1950년 이후 60년대까지 추상적 조형성을 현대로 이끄는데 끼친 영향이 크다. 박래현 8.15 해방과 더불어 예술계가 정치적, 사회적, 이데올르기 전쟁에 휩쓸려 정상적인 조형 활동이 이루어지지 못했다. 1953년 환도와 더불어 전쟁의 흔적이 지워지지 않는 폐허속에서 조형적 이념이 서서히 활동이 시작되었다. 일본이라는 간접 통로를 거치지 않고, 국제적인 교류를 통하여 새로운 예술, 미술표현사조는 다양해지게 되었다. 특히 전통을 고수하면서 현대적 예술로서의 발전이라는 실험정신에 작업을 모색하였다. 박래현의 조형성은 6.25동란시 군산피난시절부터 태동하였는데 사물에 대한 분석적 표현방법과 전통회화와의 접목을 시도함으로써 시작되었다. 박래현의 창의적이고 독자적인 탐구 정신은 50년대 후반에 순수추상의 단계로 접어드는데, 이전의 화풍에서 변모하여 자연스러운 추상적 조형성이 이루게 된다. 박래현의 작업의지는 작고하는 순간까지 세계 여러 민족문화를 화폭에 담고, 다양한 오브제와, 방문한 여러나라들의 문화, 소재, 기법, 장르를 자유롭게 넘나들어 독자적인 조형세계를 창조했다. 이처럼 박래현의 작업이 현대적 추상회화를 모색하는데 크게 기여된 바 본 논문에서는 그의 예술적 생애와 시대적 배경, 경향을 살펴 본 후 1960년대 이후까지 추상적 작품을 분석, 조형적 특성을 파악하고, 현대에 끼친 영향과 위치를 고찰해 보고자 한다.|This study concerns the paintings by Pak Rae Hyeon with the pen name of Uhyang(1920-1976) and their plastic abstraction. The plastic art realized by him has largely contributed to laying the foundations of bridging the modern history of Korea painting to the contemporary, especially by leading up the plastic abstraction of the 1960s since the year 1950. An political, social and ideological war followed by the 1945 Liberation of Korea had prevented the Korean arts from working on its normal plastic activities. But, the return to the capital Seoul in 1953 began to gradually find a sprout of a plastic ideology even in ruins left behind the war. Under such surroundings, international exchanges with no need for passing through an indirect channel of Japan has resulted in a variety of new trends in the Korean arts. Particularly, an experimental combination of sticking to their traditional factor and developing into a contemporary being can be said to be a noticeable attempt. The plastic formativeness realized by him has sprouted itself since the time of getting away from the war to Gunsan, in which attempts he tried to graft an analytical expression of things onto the traditional arts. Her creative and original spirits of watching over things stepped into the fine abstract art in the late 1950s, when he went beyond his previous style of painting into a more natural plastic abstraction. Her willings as an artist have, to the death, sought after reflecting in his paintings the national cultures all over the world and building his own world of plastic abstraction by freely peek through the cultures, subject matters, techniques and genre from the countries he had visited, including a variety of objet d'art. In this study, as he has give a large contribution to a contemporary abstract art, his artistic life, historical surrounding and tendency was covered, followed by, since the 1960s, identifying his plastic formativeness through analyzing his abstract paintings and influences he had upon and in the contemporary.
