가임기 맞벌이 부부 남편의 모유수유에 대한 지식과 태도

Abstract

본 연구는 가임기 맞벌이 부부 남편의 지식과 태도를 알아보고 이들의 관계를 파악하여 모유수유를 지지함으로써 모유수유율 증진을 위한 방안을 마련하고자 시도되었다. 연구 대상은 K시에 거주하는 1개 대학병원, 3개 사업체, 1개 보건소에 근무하는 기혼자 중 맞벌이부부이고 가임기의 아내를 둔 남편 196명을 대상으로 하였으며, 2004년 8월 16일 ～ 8월 31일까지 자료수집을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 도구는 김성희(2001)가 개발한 33문항의 지식측정도구와 정금희(1997)가 개발한 20문항의 태도측정도구를 본 연구의 대상자인 남편들에게 맞는 내용으로 수정?보완하여 사용하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1) 대상자의 63.8%가 모유수유에 대한 정보제공을 받았고 자녀가 있는 대상자중 80.4%가 배우자의 모유수유 경험이 있다고 했으며 장래 모유수유 실천의지는 ‘모유수유 하겠다’가 59.7%로 대부분을 차지하였다. 2) 모유수유에 대한 지식정도 대상자의 모유수유에 대한 지식정도는 33점 만점 중 평균 17.89 ± 5.44점이었으며 ‘모유수유의 장점’영역의 점수가 가장 높았으며 ‘모유수유의 평가’영역의 점수가 가장 낮았다. 대상자 특성별 지식정도는 전문·행정관리직에서 유의하게 높았고 모유수유에 대한 정보를 받은 군에서 유의하게 높았다. 3) 모유수유에 대한 태도 모유수유에 대한 태도는 80점 만점이며 전체 평균점수 64.84 ± 7.33점, 평균평점 3.25 ± 0.37점으로 비교적 긍정적인 태도를 나타내었고 영역별로는 ‘감정적 측면’의 점수가 가장 높았고 ‘인지적 측면’의 점수가 가장 낮았다. 대상자 특성별 태도에서는 장래 모유수유를 하겠다고 한 군에서 긍정적인 태도를 보였다. 4) 모유수유에 대한 지식과 태도와의 관계 모유수유에 대한 지식과 태도와의 관계를 분석한 결과 정의 상관관계를 보였다(r= .275, p= .000). 5) 모유수유 지식을 종속변수로 한 다중회귀분석 결과 16.0% 설명되었고 모유수유에 대한 태도, 월소득이 모유수유지식에 대한 영향변인 이었으며, 모유수유 태도를 종속변수로 한 다중회귀분석 결과 17.2% 설명되었고 모유수유 지식, 모유수유 실천의지가 모유수유 태도에 대한 영향변인이었다. 이상의 결과를 종합하여 볼 때 모유수유 지식과 태도는 상관관계가 있었으므로 남편을 대상으로 올바른 지식을 제공할 수 있는 체계적인 모유수유 교육프로그램을 실시하여 아내의 모유수유를 가장 효과적으로 지지할 수 있도록 하여야 할 것이다.|This study is aimed at presenting measures to promote breast feeding by understanding knowledge and attitude on breast feeding of husbands of double-income couples in productive age, and based on the relations, by supporting breast feeding. The date were collected from 196 husbands, who worked for 1 university hospital, 3 companies and 1 public health center in K City and had working wives in productive age(19~40), from Aug 16 2004 to Aug 31 2004. The research results are as follows. 1) Knowledge on Breast Feeding As for knowledge on breast feeding of subjects, the average score was 17.89 out of 33, with the highest score in the sector of ‘Advantage of Breast Feeding' and the lowest score in the sector of ‘Evaluation of Breast Feeding'. Knowledge of the subjects in accordance with individual properties was relatively high in those working in the professional management area and in those who have had gotten information on breast feeding. 2) Attitude on Breast Feeding The subjects showed relatively positive attitude on breast feeding with the average score of 64.84 out of 80 and the average grade of 3.25. In terms of aspect, the score was the highest in the 'emotional aspect', and the lowest in the 'cognitive aspect'. As for attitude of the subjects in accordance with individual properties, those who said they would breast feed their children showed more positive attitude. 3) Relation between Knowledge and Attitude on Breast Feeding As a result of analyzing the relation between knowledge and attitude on breast feeding, they turned out to be in a direct correlation. 4) As a result of multiple regression analysis with knowledge on breast feeding as an independent variable, attitude on breast feeding and monthly salary were influential factors to knowledge on breast feeding. As a result of multiple regression analysis with attitude on breast feeding as an independent variable, knowledge on breast feeding and willingness to breast feed were influential factors to attitude on breast feeding.
