Abstract

Based on the behaviour of clients who have ever experienced a service of general financial design by life insurance companies, the paper aims to investigates a variety of the impacts of the VIP asset management service on clients' financial instrument choice. As a result, the clients' age is mostly banded between 30 and 40 years old and they show a higher proportion of investment in insurance companies, compared to that in other types of financial companies. By targeted consultations, a corporation-CEO plan takes the largest average of the monthly insurance bill. In addition, in the sectors of asset scale, jobs, and consultations, the enlargement of insured size is closely associated with the frequency of consultation. Our findings casts an implication that the asset management service by insurance companies should provide differentiated instruments and service with banks, securities companies and so make the tied-transaction relationship well operate via a long term contract, which is one of important natures of the insurance industry.
