Abstract
The research aims to identify the effectiveness of the differentiated teaching method in the writing class for non-Arabic students in the Department of Middle East Studies at the University of Dankook. The researcher used the experimental method. The research sample consisted of second grade students of Middle East Studies Department, who were randomly selected. They were divided into two groups of 20 students each, and one was studied according to the method of differentiated teaching and the other the traditional lecture. The tools of research were determined by the test of the written expression and the list of the skills of expression. The results of the experiment were verified and the method of brainstorming was applied to the experimental group and the lecture to the control group. The members of the experimental group exceeded those of the control group. Through the analysis, the researcher recommended that the method of differentiated teaching be used as the better one of teaching written expression skills.
