한국어능력시험의 듣기 영역 실제성 연구

Abstract

한국어교육의 목적은 한국어 학습자의 의사소통 능력을 향상시키는 데 있다. 최근 한국어교육에서는 학습자의 실제적인 의사소통 능력을 향상하는 데 중점을 두고 있는데, 한국어 능력 평가에서도 응시자의 실제적인 의사소통 능력을 평가할 수 있어야 한다. 본고에서는 의사소통 실제성의 문항 반영 방안에 대한 기초 연구로서 듣기 영역에서 제시하는 대화문에 주목한다. 한국어능력시험 문항은 구어적 특성 반영과 함께 대화의 실제성이 확보되어야 한다고 본다. 즉, 대화 원형이 반영되고 적절한 대화이동 연속체 속에서 화행 또는 기능이 적합하게 나타난 대화가 한국어능력시험 문항으로 제시되어야 한다. 이러한 논의를 위한 기초 연구로서 본고에서는 한국어능력시험 듣기 영역 대화문의 실제성을 대화분석 방법으로 분석한다. 대화분석은 대화의 구조적 측면과 내용적 측면, 분석 단위 간의 상호적인 분석을 통해 이루어지기 때문이다. 특히, 본고는 한국어능력시험의 대화 구조와 내용의 실제적인 부분 및 대화의 화용적 요소까지 포함하여 분석하였다. 그 결과 한국어능력시험 듣기 영역 대화문에서 난이도 수준 통일을 위한 발화순서 교체 횟수 제한이 실제성을 떨어뜨리는 측면, 장황하게 명사를 수식하거나 구정보의 신정보화로 대화의 결속을 흐리게 하여 혼란이 발생되는 측면, 대화의 장소를 고려하지 않은 고정적인 문형이 발화에 나타남으로써 발생하는 비현실적인 측면 등이 나타남을 밝혔다.

The purpose of Korean language education was to enhance Korean language learner’s communication ability in Korean. Korean language education focuses on enhancing learners’ community ability in Korean, so the TOPIK(Test of Proficiency in Korea) should evaluate testee’s authentic communication ability in Korean. In order to investigate a testee’s communication pattern having the authenticity, this thesis analyzed some dialogues in the listening section of TOPIK. As the TOPIK evaluates a testee’s authentic Korean proficiency level, so questions of this test should reflect Korean colloquial characteristics and secure the authenticity of dialogues. Dialogues reflecting their patterns and properly showing speech acts in the dialogue move sequence should be in questions of TOPIK. This thesis analyzed the dialogue’s structures and its authentic parts and even its speech factors. As the results from analyzing them, it was pointed out as problems to solve that dialogues were not systematically organized in dialogue texts, and the dialogue-binding was not clear, and a dialogue situation and its context were not considered.
