야민정음과 급식체의 해체주의 표현연구

Abstract

최근 언론에서 야민정음과 급식체에 관한 표현들이 많이 소개되고, 케이블 TV나 방송에서 급식체 특강을 하고, 급식체를 이용한 과자 이름까지 출현했다. 야민정음은 시각적 유사성에 근거하여 한글을 다른 글자로 대체하고, 글자의 방향, 읽기 순서, 띄어쓰기 등에서 활자의 보편성이 해체되고, 활자가 개인화되고 선형적인 문장구성이 해체되고 있다. 급식체는 ‘인정 어 인정’이 ‘용비? 어～천가’, ‘동휘? 박보검’ 등으로 대체되어 ‘인정’과 기의가 전혀 연결되지 않고, ‘오지고지리고렛잇고아미고알파고…’ 등에서 ‘오지고’에서 ‘오지’를 자른 다음 마지막 음절 ’고‘만 같은 ‘지리고’, ‘렛잇고’, ‘’아미고‘ 등으로 무한 반복하여 문자유희를 즐기고 있다. 기표와 기의의 1대 1 대응은 해체되고 무한한 기표의 유희가 일어나고 있다.

Recently Yaminjeongeum and Geupsikche are frequently used on internet, chatting and cellular phone messages. Personal internet broadcasting Jockeys(BJs) began to use Yaminjeongeum on their broadcastings for fun with viewers and teenagers and twenties imitated those expressions with BJs and other viewers on chatting. Those expressions spread to other internet sites, newspaper, TV broadcast programs, and advertisements. Yaminjeongeum and Geupsikche show the deconstruction of digital typography in Korean alphabets. Yaminjeongeum is classified into visual pun since Korean alphabets are substituted by Korean consonants and vowels, Chinese characters or arabic numbers. Substitution is based on the visual resemblance of letter shapes. Traditional linear typography design is deconstructed by letter shape, arrangement, direction and spacing words. Geupsikche is used especially by teenagers who eat school meals. Words are coined by acronym such as ㅇㅈ, ㅇㅈ?ㅇㅇㅈ, ㄴㅇㅈ, ㄹㅇ. Original meaning of words ‘개’ and ‘씹’ is changed when they are prefixed to other others such as 개이득(ㄱㅇㄷ) and 씹이득(ㅆㅇㄷ).When meaning of ‘인정(ㅇㅈ) 어 인정’ is widespread to people, they coin other expressions which do not correspond to their original meaning: ‘동의? 어 보감’, ‘이동휘? 어 박보검’, ‘용비? 어천가’, ‘양파? 어～ 니언!’ This is a play of signifiants. They just play with letters for fun. The deconstruction of digital typography started in the 1920s. In the 1930s Sang Lee tried destruction of Korean typography in his poems and in the 1980-1990s Namcheol Park and Jiwoo Hwang also tried to deconstruct traditional principle and forms of poetics. They try to propose visualization of Korean poems by destruction of Korean typography in terms of substitution of other symbols.
