Abstract

This study relates to a variable preload system of bearings. The present invention relates to a variable preloading system for a high-speed spindle bearing using elastic deformation of a gap and stroke of a stroke for preload adjustment to apply a static pressure and a variable preload to an outer ring of a bearing supporting a spindle capable of rotating at high speed. In this study, a high speed spindle with a variable preload system of bearing was fabricated and the vibration characteristics experiment was conducted. The purpose of this study is to investigate the vibration characteristics of the spindle according to the change of the preload and the number of revolutions applied to the spindle.
