업사이클링 개념을 바탕으로 한 섬유공예 지도방안연구 : 대학 전공 교육을 중심으로

Abstract

현대사회는 산업 혁명 이후 빠르게 산업화가 진행되고 과학 문명이 발달하여 물질적 풍요를 얻었다. 환경의 파괴와 자원의 고갈이라는 심각한 문제에 직면하게 되었고 환경 문제는 이제 전 인류가 함께 고민하고 해결해야 할 중요한 사안이 되었다. 이에 무분별한 에너지 소비를 줄이려는 노력과 생산에 있어서도 디자인 단계부터 친환경에 대해 고려하고 소비에 있어서도 재사용을 고려한 업사이클링 개념의 활용이 더욱 중요하게 되었다. 산업 혁명 이후의 공예분야는 효율성, 편리성, 생산성에서 멀어져 가치가 낮아졌고 교육적 측면에서도 시대적 흐름에 뒤처진 분야라는 평가 저하된 시선으로 디자인 영역에 가려져 문화적 가치를 기반으로 한 교육 분야에서도 외면 받고 있는 실정이다. 우리의 공예분야는 게획, 개발, 제작, 후처리의 모든 프로세스 과정이 환경을 고려하고 자연에 순응하고자 하는 업사이클링이 지향하는 바와 비슷함을 알 수 있다. 이에 업사이클링 개념을 기초로 하여 섬유공예를 재조명 하고자 하며 이러한 과정은 교육 분야에서도 적극적으로 지도해야할 당위성을 포함하고 있다. 본 연구는 정체성과 가치관이 확립된 섬유공예 전공 대학생들을 대상으로 환경 개선의 문제점을 알고 섬유공예의 중요성과 문화유산의 가치를 인식하도록 한다. 그 방안으로 환경 배려적인 측면에서의 제품 및 작품 개발을 목적으로 한 업사이클링 개념이 내포된 섬유공예 학습 지도안을 제안하며 수업의 결과물을 전시나 공모전으로 마무리하는 과정을 제시함으로서 창의적이고 발전적인 수업을 진행할 수 있도록 하였다. 업사이클링 개념을 바탕으로 한 섬유공예 교육의 중요성과 필요성, 전공 교육의 차별화를 통해 학습자들이 환경을 배려하여 섬유제품을 제작하고 창조하는 과정을 통해 고민하고 소통하는 데 활용될 수 있도록 한다.

Modern society has been rapidly industrialized since the Industrial Revolution, scientific civilization has developed and material affluence has gained. Faced with a serious problem of environmental destruction and depletion of resources, environmental issues have become an important issue for all humanity to contemplate and solve together. Therefore, it is more important to consider the eco-friendliness from the design stage and to utilize the concept of up-cycling considering the reuse in consumption. Since the Industrial Revolution, the crafts sector has been deteriorating from efficiency, convenience, and productivity, and has been depreciated in terms of value. In the educational aspect, it is a field lagging behind the times. to be. Our craft field is similar to the up-cycling of all process processes of planning, development, production, and post-processing, considering environment and adapting to nature. Based on the concept of up-cycling, we are going to re-examine the textile arts, and this process includes the right to be actively guided in the field of education. The purpose of this study is to understand the problems of environmental improvement and to recognize the importance of textile arts and the value of cultural heritage. As a result of this study, we propose a teaching method of textile craft learning that includes the concept of up-cycling for the purpose of developing products and works in the aspect of environment-consciousness, and present the process of finalizing the results of the class by exhibition or competition. So that it can proceed. The importance and necessity of textile craft education based on the concept of up-cycling and differentiation of the major education make it possible for the learner to be used to worry and communicate through the process of producing and creating textile products with consideration of the environment.
