기초수학 이수 후 연계과목 성취도 분석

Abstract

2016학년 광주광역시 소재 C대학교 이공계 전체 신입생을 대상으로 기초학력진단테스트를 실시하여 기준점수를 통과하지 못한 학생들을 대상으로 대학 교양수학(미분적분학, 선형대수학)을 수강하기 전 기초수학과목을 이수하도록 하였다. 이 논문은 2016학년 2학기 선형대수를 수강한 몇 개 분반을 대상으로 추적 조사하여 기초테스트를 통과하고 연계되는 과목들을 수강한 학생들과 그렇지 못한 학생들 사이의 학업성취도를 비교 분석해 보았다.

We carried out mathematics diagnostic test for all first year natural sciences and engineering students at C university in Gwangju in 2016. With those students who had not passed the grading standard, we made the students complete a course in basic mathematics before taking mathematics Courses in Liberal Education(Pre Calculus, Linear Algebra). This paper compared and analyzed the academic achievement of the students who took Linear Algebra in 2nd semester in 2016 and had passed the mathematics diagnostic test and ones who had not.
