- Phenomenological study physical education experience students primary school Singapore
- The purpose of this study is to reveal the experience of Singapore primary school students in their physical education classes from a phenomenological approach. Data was collected through interviews and drawings with eight students who are at their primary 5 and 6 grade. The interview contents were analysed through a categorising process and themes have been developed. The results showed that primary school students have experienced the game-based classes such as invasion/territorial games and net/barrier games during primary 5 and 6 PE classes; primary school students have experienced educational gymnastics classes when they were primary 3 and 4 students; and primary school students have experienced fundamental movements in their primary 1 and 2 PE classes. This study contributes to the Singapore PE syllabus and increased understanding of the reality of Singapore PE by describing the primary PE classes that studnets have experienced.
