전라남도 문화재 전통가옥의 부엌 변용에 관한 연구

Abstract

집은 함께 먹고 자는 식구들의 생활공간으로, 음식을 만드는 공간과 휴식을 취할 수 있는 공간으로 크게 구분된다. 주거 공간의 변화는 시대에 흐름에 따라 변해왔으며 그 가운데 특히 음식을 만드는 공간인 부엌은 크게 변화하였고 인간 생활에도 큰 영향을 끼쳤다. 부엌의 변천 - 주거공간의 중심이자, 가족생활의 중심지 (한국의 생활사, 김용만) 한때 식탁과 분리되었던 부엌은 이제 다시 음식을 만드는 공간과 음식을 먹는 공간으로 결합되었다. 부엌의 공간 변화는 여성의 생활환경을 변화시켜, 여성들의 삶 자체에 혁명적인 변화를 초래하게 되었으며, 이는 가사 노동의 무거운 짐을 내려놓은 여성들이 사회활동을 보다 적극적으로 할 수 있는 토대를 갖게 해주었다. 뿐만 아니라 부엌은 여성들의 전용 작업장에서 남성들도 드나드는 공간으로 변했다. 요즘 들어 요리를 취미로 여기는 남성들이 많아진 것은, 부엌 환경의 변화가 가져온 현상이라고 할 수 있다. 부엌은 이제 여성들만의 공간이 아니라, 본래의 자리인 가족생활의 중심 공간으로 되돌아온 것이다 부엌의 변천 - 주거공간의 중심이자, 가족생활의 중심지 (한국의 생활사, 김용만) 근래에 들어와 서양 문명의 영향으로 우리 부엌에도 큰 변화가 일어났다. 안방 한쪽에 딸려 있던 부엌이 집 한가운데의 거실 옆으로 오면서, 거실을 포함한 집안의 중요 공간이 되었다. 뿐만 아니라 이곳에 가스레인지, 냉장고, 식기세척기, 전자레인지, 전기밥솥, 커피메이커, 토스트 등의 전기제품을 들여놓고 사용하면서 부엌이라는 이름보다는 주방이라고 불러지고 있다. 김광언, 한국의 부엌, 2003, 대원사, p.142 본 논문의 목적은 시대의 흐름과 생활의 변화에 따라 주거자의 편의에 의해 가장 많은 변용이 일어난 전라남도 지역 전통가옥 부엌을 대상으로 변용유형별로 분류하여 변화된 부엌의 실태를 파악하고자 한다.|The living space where families eat, sleep and live together has changed with the times, especially the kitchen, the central space of household labor, has changed greatly, and has greatly influenced the human living environment, resulting in revolutionary changes in life itself. In this regard, the study identified the changed status of kitchens in traditional houses in Jeollanam-do, which were most frequently used by the convenience of residents due to the changes in the times and living conditions. The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, the kitchen that gradually changed the shape of the kitchen due to the convenience of the user while preserving the form of the traditional kitchen was found to be eight houses. Second, the number of houses in which standing kitchens were installed and used together while preserving the traditional kitchen style was found to be four. Third, the number of kitchens that were transformed into standing kitchens was nine, and the number of kitchens that were transformed into standing kitchens by removing and expanding traditional kitchens and other spaces was six. Fourth, there were 10 kitchens that were installed in different places inside the traditional house while preserving the traditional kitchen form, and 2 kitchens were found to be used in different places outside the traditional house while preserving the traditional kitchen form. The above results show that the change in the shape of the kitchen in traditional houses, a space where cultural assets and people coexist, is an important part of the convenience of the lives of people living in the present era. In conclusion, it is also important to preserve and preserve traditional cultural assets that come down from the old days. However, it is believed that the government should create and develop a minimum number of regulations so that people can lead basic lives, rather than unconditionally strong regulations on traditional houses where people live.
