Abstract

A study on the Participation Motivation, Achievement Goals, Self-Efficacy of Taekwondo National Sports Festival Athletes Lee, Je-Dam Advisor : Yoon, Oh-Nam Ph.D. Department of Physical Education, Graduate School Chosun University The purpose of this study is to present basic data on psychological factors for the group participating in the National Sports Festival through research on the participation motivation, achievement goals, and self-efficacy of Taekwondo National Sports Festival athletes. This research method selected 176 athletes who had participated in the National Sports Festival over the past three years. The research was based on the survey results of 152 people, excluding 24 people who submitted surveys that were judged to have responded insincerely. Focusing on athletes from the Gwangju and Jeonnam regions, we identified athletes from other regions with the help of athletes with participation experience, explained the study, and expanded the survey. Players who participated in recent games had the highest response rate. SPSS 27.0 was used for data processing in this study, and the significance level was set at p<.05. This study conducted a study on the participation motivation, achievement goals, and self-efficacy of representative athletes who participated in the Taekwondo National Sports Festival, drew results, and drew conclusions by comparing them with various previous studies. First, among Taekwondo National Sports Festival representative athletes, male self-efficacy, perceived physical ability and physical self-expression were significantly higher depending on gender. Second, it was found that there were no significant differences in participation motivation, achievement goals, and self-efficacy among Taekwondo National Sports Festival athletes depending on age and number of competition participation. Third, Taekwondo National Sports Festival representative athletes showed no significant correlation or influence between participation motivation, achievement goals, and self-efficacy.
