Abstract
Comparison of basic fitness, core stability, dynamic stability, and anaerobic fitness by Taekwondo Poomsae competition type. Park, Chan-woo Advisor : Jung, Jae-Hwan Ph.D. Department of Physical Education, Graduate School Chosun University The purpose of this study was to compare the basic physical fitness, core stability, dynamic stability, and anaerobic power of certified and free pomsae athletes among the types of pomsae competitions to identify the factors required for each type of pomsae competition. The subjects were 40 certified and free pomsae athletes (10 men and women, 10 men and women, and 10 free pomsae athletes) who were registered with the Korea Taekwondo Association and participated in pomsae competitions among taekwondo majors at C University in Gwangju. The study analyzed the basic physical fitness, core stability, anaerobic performance, and dynamic stability of the athletes between the two types of competition and found the following conclusions. First, when analyzing the differences in physical fitness factors between certified and free sumisae athletes, certified sumisae athletes showed higher and significant differences in flexibility factors than free sumisae athletes in the female group. Second, we analyzed the differences in core stability factors between certified and free sailors, and found that certified sailors had higher average left 45° and left 135° than free sailors in the female group, with significant differences. Third, we analyzed the differences in upper extremity anaerobic performance between certified and free sailors, and found that certified sailors had higher peak power, average power, and peak power per body weight than free sailors in the female group, with significant differences. Fourth, we analyzed the differences in lower extremity anaerobic performance factors between certified and free-style fencers, and found that certified fencers had higher peak power, mean power, peak power per body weight, and mean power per body weight than free-style fencers in the female group, with significant differences. Fifth, when analyzing the difference in dynamic stability factors between certified and free poomsae athletes, certified poomsae athletes showed a higher average and significant difference than free poomsae athletes in the female group. Taken together, we found that there were no differences in the factors between the types of competition in the male group, and only in the female group did the certified athletes have better physical strength (flexibility), core stability (45° (left), 135° (left)), upper and lower anaerobic performance (peak power, average power of upper limbs, peak power per body weight of upper limbs, average power per body weight), and dynamic stability factors than the free athletes.
