Abstract
Development of a Convergence Culture and Arts Education Teaching Program for Multicultural Youth Kim, U Jin Advisor : Prof. Lee, Suk-Young Major in Dance Education, Graduate School of Education, Chosun University This study proposes a hybrid cultural arts education program to effectively help multicultural adolescents establish their self-identity through self-exploration, develop their social skills, and foster the 4Cs (communication skills, collaboration skills, critical thinking skills, and creativity) that are essential for the fourth industrial revolution. The hybrid cultural arts education program developed in this study is composed of six sessions, integrating dance, folk games, art, and animation. In the first and second sessions, dance and folk games are integrated to explore cultural similarities and differences across countries, thereby fostering intercultural adaptability. In the third and fourth sessions, dance and art are integrated to focus on one's emotions and self. In the fifth and sixth sessions, dance and animation are integrated to help adolescents view themselves from the perspective of others, thereby establishing their self-identity. The results of the study showed that the hybrid cultural arts education program developed in this study received the following evaluations from experts: The program has appropriate direction, structure, composition, and goal setting for multicultural adolescents to establish their self-identity through self-exploration, develop their social skills, and foster the 4Cs. The program can be used by teachers. The program provides systematic and detailed lesson plans and teaching materials that teachers can easily use in the field. The program can help multicultural adolescents establish their self-identity through self-exploration. The program provides opportunities for multicultural adolescents to understand their own culture and other cultures, and to focus on their own emotions and self. The program can help multicultural adolescents foster the 4Cs. The program helps multicultural adolescents effectively foster the 4Cs (collaboration skills, communication skills, critical thinking skills, and creativity) through hybrid cultural arts education. Based on the results of this study, the following recommendations are made: The development and dissemination of hybrid cultural arts education programs should be expanded. To help multicultural adolescents explore their self-identity and foster the 4Cs, the development and dissemination of hybrid cultural arts education programs should be expanded. To this end, government, local governments, and private organizations should work together to develop and disseminate various hybrid cultural arts education programs. Research is needed to verify the effectiveness of hybrid cultural arts education programs. This study is a study to verify the effectiveness of hybrid cultural arts education programs.
