Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore the factors that affect the decision-making of students in specialized high schools and analyze their characteristics. Specialized high schools are no longer just for employment through vocational education, but are required to switch to a training institution for college entrance exams, and career counseling and career education for students should be conducted by analyzing related factors. At a time when specialized high school students' decision-making is increasing, analyzing the determinants of college entrance is an essential research task for preventing social and economic losses of specialized high school students and preparing for the future. Looking at previous studies, studies on variables that affect career perception and career maturity of general high school students are being actively conducted. However, few studies have been conducted on the factors affecting college admission decisions for students in specialized high schools. In addition, there are many studies that analyze the relationship between environmental variables such as individuals, families, and schools as well as factors that affect career decisions, but not many studies have identified the relationship between social factors and various variables. It is inferred that the impact on specialized high school students' decision to enter college depends on personal, family, school, and social factors. In other words, it is judged that specialized high school students' decision to enter college and each factor will play a role, and research on this is still insufficient. Therefore, in this study, we would like to analyze the factors that affect the college entrance decisions of specialized high school students and discuss how they affect them. By predicting and identifying factors that affect specialized high school students' decision to enter college, specialized high school students prevent their careers from being undecided and identify factors that determine college admission. It can be used as basic data to prevent problems.
