Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyze and identify the effects of career exploration of the practical dance major on self-esteem and dance adherence. Through this study, it is intended to be a basic help in reducing dropout and increasing dance adherence by increasing the effect of career and self-esteem through career exploration of the practical dance major. This study conducted a survey of practical dance majors, centering on Seoul, and 201 copies of the data were analyzed, except for two copies, and the conclusions of this study are as follows.
First, the general characteristics of the study subjects were analyzed by gender, age, and career, and the results were as follows. First, a two-independent samples t-test was conducted to identify differences between major variables according to gender. In career exploration, there was a statistically significant difference in career exploration. One-Way ANOVA and Scheffé were conducted to identify differences between major variables according to age. There was no statistically significant difference in all. One-Way ANOVA and Scheffé were conducted to identify differences between major variables according to career. In career exploration, there was a statistically significant difference in career exploration.
Second, Multiple Regression Analysis was conducted to analyze the effect of career exploration of practical dance majors on self-esteem. As a result of the analysis, it was found that the search for a job during career search had a statistically significant positive (+) effect on the positive self among self-esteem, and the search for oneself had a statistically significant positive effect on the positive self and negative self among self-esteem.
Third, Multiple Regression Analysis was conducted to analyze the effect of career exploration of practical dance majors on dance adherence. As a result of the analysis, it was found that the search for a job and the search for oneself during career search had a statistically significant positive (+) effect on the intention to dance adherence.
Fourth, Multiple Regression Analysis was conducted to analyze the effect of self-esteem of practical dance major on dance adherence. As a result of the analysis, it was found that among self-esteem, positive self and negative self had a statistically significant positive (+) effect on dance adherence.
Through this study, it can be seen that career exploration of practical dance majors is a mutually influencing relationship between self-esteem and intention to continue dancing. To have confidence in oneself through programs related to career and job, experience various activities, accept feedback on them, move in a positive direction, and explore a wider range of careers through the expansion of practical dance-related art support projects should be able to do Furthermore, it is necessary to change practical dance so that it can be a natural educational activity in the school education field.
