중계기를 고려한 TDOA와 TOA가 혼합된 위치추정 알고리즘 연구

Abstract

In a wireless communication system, the location information obtained by LDT (Location Detection Technology), which is one of core techniques, provides various communication services to user. TOA (Time of Arrival), which calculates it by measuring the arrival time of signals, and TDOA (Time Difference of Arrival) which calculates it by measuring the difference between two arrival times, are representative network-based LDT methods. Based on the signals received from three or more BS (Base Station)s, TOA calculates an intersection point by drawing circles and TDOA calculates it by drawing hyperbolas. In the urban environment where communication obstacles exist, a huge number of repeaters have been installed to overcome the radio shadow area problem. However, the signals received through these repeaters may cause serious error and serious performance degradation is accompanied. In this paper, we propose the combined location detection algorithm with TDOA and TOA considering repeaters. For the proposed approach, the distance between the repeater and the MS (Mobile station) is calculated through TDOA, and the location of MS is estimated through TOA. The performance of the proposed TDOA and TOA combined localization technique is evaluated through simulation of MS location detection considering the number of repeaters.
