Abstract
Although the structural analysis has to describe behavior characteristics similar to actual behaviors of structures, they may not happen because of behavior characteristics of the support, its modeling methods, errors in loading tests, and change in strength and rigidity based on sectional demage. In this study, the result of evaluating the load carrying capacity by applying the behavior from buckling equations and resistance moments showed that up to 50% less than conventional methods. When the load carrying capacity of bridges is evaluated by the existing method the results vary among engineers due to lack of guidelines for evaluation such as the application of stress modification factor. This study was conducted as an effort to solve this problem through active research.
