Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find and propose policy measures to develop and revitalize Taekwondo as a cultural industry according to the changes in the way of dealing with sports or culture according to the post-corona era. These proposals will serve as a foundation to continuously explore ways to develop Taekwondo appropriate in the post-corona era. In order to derive the results for the purpose of this study, a literature study was conducted as the main research method. Through literature research, the concept and scope of Taekwondo training and cultural value policies were analyzed, and inductive category analysis was used and in-depth interviews were conducted while observing the ethics of the study. In order to identify various prior studies and contents tailored to the corona era, the basic concepts of Corona are listed, and words including taekwondo are derived from books, academic research materials, corona, post-corona, and pandemic words to categorize terms. did. The cultural aspects of Taekwondo were divided into mental culture and material culture, and examples of changes in the times were examined. An in-depth interview was conducted to study the difficulties and cultural values of Taekwondo in the post-corona era and to find alternatives. In the categorization of words according to the topic of taekwondo in the post-corona era, post-corona and taekwondo appeared negatively, and the difficulties in taekwondo, the grassroots of taekwondo culture, and taekwondo-related organizations (KUKKIWON, KTA, WT, TPF) mainly focused on measures to revitalize the post-corona era. First, the elements that first appeared in taekwondo in the post-corona era were online competitions, individual practice methods, and online education methods, and there were misconceptions about problems and improvement measures for new types of online competitions. The cultural views were more diverse, but for fundamental stabilization, it was said that maintaining stability in the Taekwondo arena is taekwondo culture. Second, in the detailed factors of Taekwondo culture in the post-corona era, it is divided into mental culture and material culture, and the various transition processes are based on history. Concentrate on and preserve the classic roles of the past. Third, in the in-depth interview at the post-corona era Taekwondo field, it was said that the time to overcome the pandemic is the time to apply new educational methods and to apply to various cases such as the operation of a quota system that can increase the satisfaction of trainees. As it varies depending on the characteristics of, gyeorugi, and demonstration, a new Taekwondo culture must be formed. The post-corona period is a period that has not yet stabilized and is progressing. In this situation, various methods are applied, and opinions that need to be applied in various ways should be collected for the revitalization and development of Taekwondo culture. If categorization is carried out through this collection process, a new type of cultural case may appear, so continuous research is needed.
