Abstract
This researches introduces the lifetime prediction and internal parameter analysis of lithium-ion cell for spacecraft application such as satellite and launch vehicle. Two kinds of lithium-ion cylindrical cells (18650 type; 2.5Ah, 26650 type; 3.5Ah) with high-power characteristics were used. With increased cycling, discharge capacity and hybrid-pulse power characterization (HPPC)-based internal resistances were measured and compared with that of fresh lithium-ion cell. From these results, it can be surely expected to predict the lifetime of lithium-ion cell and to provide good solution for well-established lithium-ion battery pack in satellite and launch vehicle.
