광주지역 대학생의 디저트 섭취 실태와 식태도에 미치는 영향 연구

Abstract
This study attempted to investigate the effect of dessert intake, eating habits, dietary attitudes, and dietary lifestyle on college students in Gwangju, and the survey period was conducted from May 30, 2022 to June 30, 2022.
The gender of the survey subjects was men (40.6%) and women (59.4%), Age was the most common among those aged 20-21(39.5%). The frequency of drinking was the highest at hardly drink alcohol(50.2%), sleeping time was the highest at less than six to eight hours (59.0%), and eating out was the highest at two to three times (40.2%) a week. In addition, over 200,000 won to 400,000 won was the largest amount of pocket money.
In general matters regarding desserts, the frequency of dessert intake was the highest at 2 to 3 times(36.4%) per week, and the preferred dessert types were bakery(42.5%) and coffee(37.5%). The most common dessert eating time was after lunch(58.6%), and friends(52.5%) were mainly eating together. Cafes(41.4% and 82%) were the most frequently purchased desserts for both food and beverages.
The most common reason for purchasing desserts in these places was easy access(42.1%), and the most common reason for eating desserts after meals was because of bored mouth(52.1%).
While showing a statistically significant difference in dessert perception according to gender, the question that female students have a higher average score difference than male students is ‘Dessert intake helps relieve stress’, ‘Dessert intake can lead to nutritional imbalance’ and ‘Dessert intake has a positive effect’. The question that indicates a higher score difference for male students than female students is ‘Choose a seasonal menu when choosing a dessert’.
The question that showed a statistically significant difference in dessert perception according to age was ‘dessert intake affects health’, and the average score difference was relatively higher in the group aged 24 and older than the group aged 22-23.
The question that showed a statistically significant difference in dessert perception according to the frequency of eating out was ‘appropriate price is important when selecting desserts’, and the average score difference was relatively higher in 2-3 times a week than 4 or more times a week.
Statistically significant differences in dessert purchasing behavior by gender were ‘I am interested in desserts’, ‘I will buy desserts’, ‘I will buy desserts even if they are expensive’ and ‘I will recommend my favorite dessert to the surrounding area’, and the difference in average scores for all questions was higher for female students than for male students.
In terms of differences in dessert purchasing behavior according to allowance, statistically significant questions were ‘I will buy dessert even if it is expensive’ and ‘I will recommend my favorite dessert to the surrounding area’. In addition, the group with exceed than 600,000 won in pocket money showed a relatively higher average score difference than the group with less than 200,000 won.
In terms of differences in dessert purchasing behavior according to
sleep time, the statistically significant question was ‘I will recommend my favorite dessert to the surrounding area’. In addition, the group with less than 6 hours of sleep time showed a relatively higher average score difference than the group with exceed than 8 hours of sleep.
There was no statistically significant difference in dessert satisfaction according to gender and allowance.
In the difference in dessert satisfaction according to age, the group aged 22 to 23 showed a relatively higher average score difference in health satisfaction than the group aged 24 or older.
As a result of examining the correlation between eating habits and eating attitudes and dessert satisfaction, selection and intake considerations, it was found that there was a correlation between eating habits and dessert selection and intake considerations. Next, as a result of examining the effect of dessert selection and intake considerations on eating habits, it was found that an increase in dessert considerations by 1 has the same effect as a rise in eating habits by 0.301.
The items showing a statistically significant difference in attitude toward new food according to the frequency of dessert consumption were ‘Tend to try trendy food’, ‘Tend to buy new products’, ‘I tend to go to good restaurants’, ‘I tend to buy food on impulse’, and the group who frequently ate dessert had a higher average score. In addition, the difference in meal resolution types according to the frequency of dessert intake showed a statistically significant difference. These questions include ‘delivery, eat take-out food often’, ‘eat instant food often’ and ‘eat out often’. These showed high average scores in the group that frequently intake desserts.
There was no statistically significant difference in the difference in interest in healthy food according to the preferred dessert, and the item showing a statistically significant difference in food purchase considerations according to the preferred dessert was ‘Purchase discount or event food first’, and showed a high average score in the group that preferred vegetable and fruit desserts.
