웹소설 원작의 웹툰 이용자 반응 연구

Abstract

인터넷의 확산과 스낵 컬처 문화로 인해 급부상하는 웹소설의 인기로 콘텐츠 2차 창작이 이루어지면서, 웹소설의 웹툰화가 빠르게 진행되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 웹소설 웹툰화에 대한 이용자들의 만족도 높은 웹툰 이용을 위해 반응을 파악하고, 웹소설 원작의 웹툰에 대한 더욱 긍정적인 발전을 바라보는 데 목적이 있다. 본 연구는 하나, 원작이 되는 웹소설의 흥행요인은 무엇인가? 둘, 원작을 기반으로 한 연재 웹툰의 흥행요인은 무엇인가? 셋, 이에 대한 이용자의 반응 및 만족도는 어떠한가? 총 세 가지의 질문을 해결하고자 한다. 연구의 진행을 위해 연구 방법으로 웹툰·웹소설 플랫폼의 시장분석, 웹툰화 진행 작품 비교분석, 이용자 설문조사 및 인터뷰를 진행하였다. 웹툰화 진행 작품 비교분석을 위해 선정한 작품으로, 흥행작으로 평가되는 ‘전지적 독자 시점’, ‘재혼 황후’와 흥행을 이루진 못한 작품으로 평가되는 ‘악역이지만 돈은 제일 많아’를 선정하였다. 흥행요인 분석과 이용자 반응 설문조사 및 인터뷰를 통하여 연구를 진행하였다. 이용자 설문조사 및 인터뷰 진행을 위해 질문 내용은 세 가지를 기준으로 구성하였다. 하나, 오리지널 웹툰과 웹소설 원작 웹툰의 호감도 비교가 가능한가. 둘, 원작 웹소설의 호감도에 비해 웹소설 원작 웹툰의 호감에는 유의미한 증가가 있는가. 셋, 웹소설의 웹툰화로 인해 웹소설의 호감도가 증가하였는가, 혹은 어떠한 역영향을 받았는가. 연구 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 원작이 되는 웹소설의 흥행요인에는 ‘이용자 반응’, ‘작가 역량’, ‘플랫폼’이 있었으며, 원작을 기반으로 한 연재 웹툰의 흥행요인에는 ‘이용자 반응’, ‘작가 역량’, ‘2차 창작 가능성’이 있었다. 이용자 반응 및 만족도 설문조사 결과, 대다수 긍정적이라는 결과를 확인할 수 있었다. 연구 결론은 다음과 같다. 하나, 웹소설 원작 웹툰 연재로 인해 웹툰 시장의 활성화와 완성도 높은 웹툰을 기대하는 이용자의 욕구를 충족시켜 줄 수 있다. 둘, 웹소설 원작 웹툰화의 긍정적인 발전과 결과물은, 또 다른 창작물로써 계기와 이용자들에게 색다른 연출의 콘텐츠를 제공할 수 있는 기회가 된다. 셋, 웹소설 원작의 웹툰화는 콘텐츠의 빠른 대중화를 이룰 수 있으며, 하나의 문화로써 자리 잡을 수 있는 계기가 될 수 있다. 콘텐츠의 긍정적인 상호 작용은 이용자들의 긍정적인 반응을 끌어낼 수 있고, 이를 통한 이용자들의 반응이 콘텐츠 산업의 원동력이 될 수 있을 것이라 기대한다. |Web novels are rapidly becoming webtoonized as content secondary creation has been made due to the rapidly emerging popularity of web novels due to the spread of the Internet and snack culture. The purpose of this paper is to understand the reactions of users to use webtoons with high satisfaction with web novel webtoonization and to look at the more positive development of webtoons in the original web novel. One of the reasons for this study is the success of the original web novel? Two, what are the factors for the success of serial webtoons based on the original work? Three, what is the user's response and satisfaction to this? I would like to solve a total of three questions. In order to proceed with the study, market analysis of webtoon and web novel platforms, comparative analysis of webtoon progressed works, user surveys, and interviews were conducted as research methods. The works selected for comparative analysis of webtoon progression works were "Omniscient Reader's Point of View," "Re-Marriage Empress," and "The Villains But the Most Money," which were evaluated as unsuccessful works were selected. The study was conducted through success factor analysis, user response surveys, and interviews. For user surveys and interviews, the contents of the questions were organized based on three criteria. One, is it - 9 -possible to compare the likes of the original webtoon and the original web novel webtoon? Two, is there a significant increase in the favorability of the original web novel webtoon compared to the favorability of the original web novel? Three, did the favorability of web novels increase due to the webtoonization of web novels, or how they were adversely affected? The results of the research analysis are as follows. The box office factors of the original web novel included User Reaction, Writer Competency, and Platform, and the box office factors of serial webtoons based on the original work included User Reaction, Writer Competency, and Secondary Creativity. As a result of the user response and satisfaction survey, it was confirmed that most of them were positive. The research conclusions are as follows. One, the original webtoonization of web novels can expand the scope of appreciation for users who expect high-quality webtoons and revitalize the existing webtoon market. Two, the webtoon of the original web novel can be established as a cultural genre suitable for snack culture. Third, the webtoonization of the original web novel will be an opportunity for users to easily feel the expansion of content IP and a driving force for the content industry. The two contents, which have high value as content IPs, will continue to grow together and will be able to help each other
