A Study on Self-satisfaction with the Attaching Self Gel Nail

This study is a research thesis on UV gel, which is recently gaining great popularity from general consumers related to nail, as the simple treatment, with an interest in nail industry that is showing a rapidly growth trend at home. First of all, the actual condition of using gel nail is examined in line with the popularization of gel based on the theoretical understanding about nail. It is an effort for the application to basic data in securing marketability in self nail through considering a significance that the attaching gel nail has, and the possibility of the sustainable use in a self nail market based on this reality. An experimental research part on a damage level in gel nail and is progressed by shooting it with a scanning electron microscope(SEM; model Hitachi S-4800 FE-SEM) through collecting experimental samples for 4 weeks with the same condition after dividing artificial tip into totally 5 clusters. A questionnaire survey, which was conducted in parallel with this, is the understanding about an analytical method in the collected data that examines a group-based difference through carrying out Frequency Analysis in order to figure out the survey subjects' general characteristics and cross tabulation(chisqure test) (p), which is the non-parametric method in the categorical data. It can be confirmed that the self gel tip and the gel nail surface have a damage level compared to the natural nail, which is the control group, following 2 weeks. Also, the self gel tip was observed the bird-caging because the tip surface is bitten even if being fine. The gel nail was confirmed a crack due to piling. Following 4 weeks, the surface of natural nail, which is the control group, can be identified to be relatively normal. It was confirmed that the self gel tip got larger in the uneven range due to the bitten tip surface compared to 2 weeks, and that the damage level got much bigger. It can be seen that the gel nail had a similar crack caused by piling to the 2-week photo, and that the self gel tip gave a relatively bigger damage compared to the gel nail. Accordingly, the self gel tip, which is the experimental group, was confirmed to be very serous in the damage level more than the natural nail as the control group and the gel nail as the positive control group. Briefly arranging the actual condition of the consumer use, first, in a preference for the management of self gel nail and specialty shop, the self gel nail was preferred for 'time saving.' Second, an opportunity of having come to use the attaching gel nail was indicated to be 'acquaintance's recommendation.' In case of the intended purpose, 'cheap cost' is being taken. Third, a part that is considered the most in case of the attaching gel nail is 'design.' Thus, especially the student brackets can be considered to be satisfied with a part of choosing design to the fullest by investing time. Fourth, the satisfaction at a price of the attaching gel nail is overwhelmingly large in 'cheap' and 'moderate,' thereby being able to be considered to function positively in a market. Fifth, as for the nail health status after using the attaching gel nail, some problems about the procedure management are being shown such as ‘being stripped layer upon layer.’ and ‘being torn & broken due to being thin.’ Sixth, the period of maintaining the use of the attaching gel nail was averagely 3∼7 days. An intention of using on and on even in the future was expressed. This study failed to directly progress in many people owing to a matter of having been developed in a short time, thereby being inconvenienced by having failed to be carried out a little more professional research. However, the analysis of the questionnaire based on a survey on consumers' satisfaction led to understanding a meaning that the gel nail has in a market and to offering basic data on the possibility of the sustainable use, thereby being likely able to be found a significance in being capable of becoming a reference to a future self nail market.
