Abstract
Piano instructors should have their own philosophies and beliefs for the learners so that instructors can develop the abilities and systematic teaching methods based on their musical knowledges.
This research tells the basic survey of the actual condition of the piano lessons and textbooks in the educational field between the instructors and learners with the survey method.
The results of statistics are as follows. First, Most teachers who have at least one year of work experience in the Edu-Prime are in the education fields. It shows that professional education is proceeding for the improvement of piano education institution through the Edu-Prime.
Second, Giving a demonstration of teacher’s performance in the piano lesson is called in ‘Always Performing’. Also the study shows that most teachers had counseling with parents ‘every lesson time’ when the piano instructor visits for the lesson. It tells that piano instructors are trying to communicate with parents for the personalized studying for the students.
Third, ‘Beyer’ was the next well-used textbook after the Piano Adventure. Piano instructors from the Edu-Prime has satisfied in the sense that Piano Adventures has ‘various education’ comparing with other textbooks.
Last, Piano Adventure however, should develop the course materials and study more for using the time flexibly as the teachers from Edu-prime said ‘Piano Adventures spends too much time in the piano lesson’
Consequently, This research shows that edu-prime finds the improvements through the systematic professional education. Based upon the findings, it was suggested to apply a range of piano textbooks and pedagogy in accordance with each pupil's ability and characteristics for the learner's interests. This study would be the guidance of Piano Adventure to be more effective for learners.
