국내 논문 분석을 통한 수학적 모델링의 이해

Abstract

There are growing Interest in mathematical modelling nowadays as it becomes more and more useful in various fields of disciplines. In Korea, many researchers have also conducted research on mathematical modelling, and among them, the precedent research conducted in 2007 has explored a total of 11 national journal articles and 22 master dissertations from 1997 to 2006. The academic journals used at the time were ‘The Mathematical Education’ of The Korean Society of Mathematical Education, ‘Journal of Educational Research in Mathematics’ and ‘School Mathematics’ of Korea Society of Education Studies in Mathematics. Ten years after the previous study, we will look at articles on mathematical modelling in the past and look at the overall aspects of mathematical modelling. For this reason, we selected a total of 24 articles on the subject of mathematical modelling published from 2007 to 2017 in Korea. The journals we selected include ‘The Mathematical Education’, ‘J. Korea Soc. Math. Ed. Ser. E: Communications of Mathematical Education’ of The Korean Society of Mathematical Education, ‘Journal of Educational Research in Mathematics’, ‘School Mathematics’ of Korea Society of Education Studies in Mathematics and ‘Journal of the Korean school mathematics society’ of The Korean School Mathematics Society. In this study, by reviewing the 24 articles published in the above mentioned journals, we will explore the meaning of mathematical modelling, the process of mathematical modelling, and then investigate the meaning and type of mathematical model, and the mathematical modelling problem. In this regard, we compared and analyzed 24 articles, and as a result, we conducted the study in two main areas: first, the meaning and process of mathematical modelling and the meaning of mathematical model, second, the mathematical modelling problem. First, we will use two kinds of data for the meaning and process of mathematical modelling and the meaning of mathematical model. one is what the authors of 24 articles quoted directly and indirectly concerning the contents of various reference data. The other is what the author of 24 articles redefined based on the references. Accordingly, in the former, we will summarize the frequency of the references, and then identify what is the highest and the second most frequently used, then in the latter, we will discuss the concrete contents. Secondly, when it comes to the mathematical modelling problem, we will summarize, above all, the characteristics of mathematical modelling problem based on 24 articles. After that, we will present mathematical modelling problems which satisfy the characteristics of the mathematical modelling problem summarized above.
