ABSTRACT

Influence of School Youth's Participation in Futsal on Self-Esteem and Persistence Intention of Participation

The subjects of this study were 272 middle school students living in Gwangju metropolitan city. The results obtained after data processing through the program and data analysis are as follows.
First, there was a significant effect on overall esteem, which is a sub - factor of self - esteem according to frequency of adolescents' futsal participation.
Second, the frequency of adolescents' futsal participation has a significant effect on social esteem, which is a sub - factor of self – esteem.
Third, it showed that the frequency of adolescent futsal participation had a significant effect on family esteem, which is a sub - factor of self – esteem.
Fourth, there was a significant effect on school esteem, which is a sub - factor of self - esteem according to adolescent futsal participation frequency.
Fifth, there was a significant effect on total esteem, which is a sub - factor of self - esteem according to youth futsal participation period.
Sixth, there was a significant effect on social esteem, which is a sub - factor of self - esteem according to youth futsal participation period.
Seventh, there was a significant effect on family esteem, which is a sub - factor of self - esteem according to youth futsal participation period.
Eighth, there was a significant effect on school esteem, which is a sub - factor of self - esteem according to youth futsal participation period.
Ninth, all four factors such as total esteem, social esteem, family esteem, and school esteem, which are sub - factors of self - esteem according to adolescents' participation in futsal, have a significant effect on participation persistence intention.
