고등학교 일본어Ⅰ교과서의 삽화 분석

Abstract

In the knowledge-based information-oriented society of 21st century which is rapidly changing, the globalization and multi-cultural society has brought about the active exchange among countries in economy, politics, society and culture. Due to such environmental changes, there are many learners who came to see the importance of foreign language. However, the interest toward Japanese is quiet low. It is because relationship between Korea and Japan is rapidly worsening due to various problems such as distorted history text book, territorial rights on Dok-do and comfort woman. At this point, in order to understand each other's culture and to communicate, it is essential to understand one's language. There is a need to exclude distortion or prejudice about Japanese culture and to provide correct cultural education to students. Therefore, it is important to spread our proud tradition and culture with pride and self-respect, and acquire knowledge about Japan with consistent interest. To achieve this, learning Japanese correctly and understanding the language is very important. The study results about illustration in high school Japanese 1 text book in 2009 Educational Curriculum Revision are as follows. There are total 4504 illustrations in Japanese I text book, 1903 photographs and 2151 drawings, and average number of illustration is 579, 272 photographs and 307 drawings. When comparing entire number of illustrations by the publications, Cheonjaegyoyook contained the least illustrations (476) which indicated large difference. Japansisa contained more illustrations with average 355 compared to other publications. Such study results contained included not only the number of illustrations on each pages in various types, but also the illustrations that have no direct relation to the contents. Therefore, it is important to provide sufficient amount of illustration for students to learn by themselves.

The study results indicated the role and importance of illustration that was newly recognized, and confirmed the contribution of illustration to motivation and interest of students as learning material. Therefore, this study aims to provide useful basic material improving the text book illustration in 「Japanese 1」in 2015 Educational Curriculum Revision.|급변하는 21세기의 지식기반 정보화 사회에서 세계화, 다문화사회로 진입하면서 각 나라는 경제, 정치, 사회, 문화적으로 매우 활발한 교류가 이루어지고 있다. 이러한 환경적인 변화로 인해 외국어의 중요성을 인식하는 학습자가 날로 증가하는 추세이다. 그러나 일본어에 대한 관심은 그다지 높지 않다. 교과서 왜곡 및 독도, 위안부 문제 등 여러 가지 문제들로 한·일 양국의 갈등이 가속화되고 있기 때문이다. 이런 시점에 상대방의 문화를 이해하고 소통하기 위해서는 먼저 상대방의 언어를 알아야 한다. 학습자들에게는 일본문화에 대한 왜곡이나 선입견을 배제하는 한편 올바른 문화교육에 대한 필요성이 제기되고 있는 실정이다. 따라서 자부심과 긍지를 가지고 우리나라의 자랑스러운 전통과 문화를 보급하는데 힘써야 하고, 지속적인 관심을 가지고 일본에 대한 지식을 습득해야 한다. 그러기 위해서는 일본어를 제대로 배우고 이해하는 것이 중요하다. 2009 개정 교육과정 일본어Ⅰ교과서의 삽화의 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 일본어Ⅰ교과서 사진(1,903)과 그림(2,151) 삽화 수는 총 4,054개이고 사진(272), 그림(307) 평균 삽화 수는 579개이다. 총 삽화수를 출판사별로 비교했을 때 6종 교과서 중 시사일본사가 831개로 가장 많았으며, 천재교육이 476개로 가장 적어 삽화 수에 있어서 차이가 많았다. 시사일본어사는 다른 출판사에 비해 평균 355개의 삽화가 더 게재되었다. 이러한 연구결과는 다양한 형태의 삽화를 각 페이지마다 수록해 삽화의 수는 가장 많았지만, 내용과 직접적으로 관련성이 없는 삽화도 포함되었다. 따라서 자신의 힘으로 학습할 수 있도록 삽화를 충분하게 제시하는 것도 중요하다. 이러한 연구결과를 통해 알 수 있었던 점은 삽화의 중요성과 역할에 대해서도 새롭게 인식하게 되었고 학습 자료로 학생들의 흥미와 동기유발에 기여하는 것을 알게 되었다. 따라서 2015 개정 교육과정에서「일본어Ⅰ」교과서의 삽화를 개선하는데 유용한 기초 자료를 제공하고자 한다.
