Abstract
The purpose of this study is to understand students' perception on multimedia in the English class. To reach this purpose, three researches are followed: 1) How do the middle school students make use of the multimedia to apply to their English class?
2) How is the middle school students' perception on multimedia application?
3) What is the improvement point in English class based on multimedia?
To collect the data, the questionnaires were distributed 165 students in the 2 local middle schools. Also, 20 students who wants to interview were interviewed with the detailed questions. The collected data were analysed based on the research questions. Finally, some implication and suggestions were made.

Based on the findings:
First, most of teachers are using PPT, TV screen, CD, UCC during the English classes. Students spent the multimedia for studying for 20 minutes and three times a week. The use of multimedia will help students to create a positive attitude in learning English and its nature.
Second, the effectiveness, necessity, preference, confidence of multimedia usage and the students interest rate showed a positive reaction. It will also encourage students to participate in interactive communication. The study also shows that most of the students recognized that they enhanced their accomplishment and their English ability and interests through the using of the multimedia.
Third, the environment of the English class (letter's size and color, volume) should be changed. The teacher should considered student's level and provide student with interactive class method. The retraining programs for English teacher should be provided to upgrade the technique and quality.
So we need to make an effort for the effective way to use multimedia in the English class.
