The purpose of this study was to analyze exercise injury factors according to exercise participation in sports for all participants and provide basic information for exercise participants and leaders to minimize exercise suspension due to exercise injury. The analysis of the actual state of exercise participation and exercise injury in futsal club members is as follows.
First, for the results of socio-demographic factors, the highest participation frequency by age was the 20s age group(258 persons or 59.9%), followed by the 30s age group(111 persons or 25.8%), the 40s age group(32 persons or 7.4%), and the 50s age group(30 persons or 7%). The difference in exercise injury by age was significant in injury part, injury symptom, injury frequency, injury time, injury period, and injury protection. The highest participation frequency by education was high school graduates(244 persons or 56.6%), followed by, university graduates(127 persons or 29.5%), graduate school graduates(40 persons or 9.3%), and middle school graduates(20 persons or 4.6%), indicating that most subjects graduated high school. The difference in exercise injury by education was significant in injury part, injury frequency, and injury time. The highest participation frequency by job was student(205 persons or 47.6%), followed by self-employment(72 persons or 16.7%), blue-collar(51 persons or 11.8%), white-collar(37 persons or 8.6%), public official(19 persons or 4.4%), and public educational official(17 persons or 3.9%). The difference in exercise injury by job was significant in injury reason, injury part, injury frequency, injury time, injury judgement, injury protection, and treatment place. The highest participation frequency by monthly income was less than one million won(176 persons or 40.8%), followed by two-three million won(111 persons or 25.8%), one-two million won(77 persons or 17.9%), three-four million won(38 persons or 8.8%), and more than four million won(29 persons or 6.7%). The difference in exercise injury by monthly income was statistically significant in injury part, injury symptom, injury frequency, injury time, and treatment place.
Second, for the results of the actual state of participation, the highest participation motivation of futsal was self-determination(180 or 41.8%), followed by recommendation by friends or colleagues(131 persons or 30.4% and 50 persons or 11.6% respectively). Participation motivation was statistically significant in injury reason, injury part, injury symptom, injury frequency, injury period, injury judgement, injury protection, and exercise adherence.
The highest participation period of futsal club members was less than 1 year(143 persons or 33.2%), followed by 1-2 years(106 persons or 24.6%), 2-3 years(89 persons or 20.6%), 3-5 years(50 persons or 11.6%), and more than 5 years(43 persons or 10%) and participation period did not show significant difference in exercise injury. The highest participation frequency of futsal club members was 2-3 times per week(201 persons or 46.6%), followed by once a week(171 persons or 39.7%), 4-5 times per week(32 persons or 7.4%), and more than 6 times per week(27 persons or 6.3%). The participation frequency showed statistically significant difference in injury part, injury frequency, injury judgement, and exercise adherence. The highest average time of exercise in futsal club members was 1-2 hours(196 persons or 45.5%), followed by 2-3 hours(129 hours or 29.9%), less than 1 hour(59 persons or 13.7%), and more than 3 hours(47 persons or 10.9%). The participation time showed statistically significant difference in injury symptom, injury frequency, injury time, injury period, and injury protection.
The highest time for exercise in futsal club members was night(131 persons or 30.4%) and the lowest time was dawn(80 persons or 18.6%). The exercise time showed statistically significant difference in injury part, injury time, and exercise adherence. The highest place for exercise was a outdoor futsal field(169 persons or 39.2%) that is distributed most commonly in Korea and prepared in school. An indoor futsal field was used most commonly by elite players but used least by general futsal club members(40 persons or 9.3%) because of expenses and difficult facilities rental. The exercise place showed significant difference in injury reason, injury part, injury frequency, injury time, injury period, and exercise adherence.
While the highest number of futsal club members was less than 20(185 persons or 42.9%), the lowest number was more than 40(37 persons or 8.6%).
While the highest bottleneck was 'the lack of time to exercise'(126 persons or 29.2%), the lowest bottleneck was 'reluctant to participate because of conflicts between members'(26 persons or 6%).
The most common reason of injury was the lack of warm-up and an excessive desire to win(134 persons or 31.1%) and the most common injury part was an ankle(129 or 29.9%). The highest injury part by age was an ankle in the 20s and 30s age group and an ankle, a waist, and the thigh in the 40s and 50s age group.
The highest injury time was night(136 persons or 31.6%) and injury during the game was found highest(201 persons or 46.6%). The most common treatment place was a Western hospital(203 persons or 47.1%) and the highest injury diagnosis was by a doctor(151 persons or 35%). The most preferred method to protect injury was warm-up.
