상업계 고등학생의 학교생활에 관한 연구 - 소외감, 교우관계 및 스마트폰 중독을 중심으로

Abstract

This study aims to explain the effects of alienation, peer relationships, and smartphone addiction on students' maladjustment to school life and interest. For this purpose, this study investigated the use of smartphones, and some instruments to measure smartphone addiction, alienation, and peer relationships targeting 236 students attending three commercial high schools in Gwangju City. With the use of SPSS, confidence and validity analyses were conducted, and through a regression analysis, the data was analysed. The results were analysed with peer relationships, alienation, and smartphone addiction as independent variables, and interest in and adjustment to school life as dependent variables as follows: First, as a result of analysing the effects of peer relationships of the subjects on interest in and adjustment to school life, it was discovered that peer relationships have significant effects on improving interest and adjustment (p<0.01). Second, as a result of analysing the effects of alienation of the subjects on interest in and adjustment to school life, it was discovered that it did not have a significant effect on interest while having significant effects on adjustment(p<0.01). Third, as a result of analysing the effects of smartphone addiction of the subjects on interest in and adjustment to school life, it was discovered that it had a significant effect on interest(p<0.1) while not having any significant effect on adjustment. This study has limitations in conducting positive tests and presenting the results. The first limitation is related with the sampled subjects. As it targeted commercial high schools only in Gwangju city, it is hard to generalize the results overall. Second, only female students participated in the questionnaire for the demo-statistical survey because there are only commercial high schools for females in Gwangju city. Third, it is believed that commercial high school students would have different stress symptoms from non-commercial high school students. To precisely understand the reasons for this, if further studies are accompanied by qualitative studies such as one-on-one intensive interviews, more meaningful results will be obtained. The results above will be used as basic data for multi-angled research to enhance adolescents' satisfaction with school life. In addition, they will be used for further research on decreasing alienation, the prevention of smartphone addiction, and peer relationship programs.
