- Abstract
- Humans pursue for beauty instinctively, but cold social emotion due to industrialization and affect adolescents negatively. It leads to confusion in senses of value, juvenile delinquency, school violence, and suicide and the rate of immoral accidents is increasing everyday. As adolescents have less intention to learn and are getting violent, they show sudden strange behaviors and to guide them is getting harder.
There are lots of studies on methods to feel beauty in life. As 80% of human five senses are decided by visual judgement of colors, if colors which are closely related with our life including clothing, food and housing are used effectively, we can achieve healthy life through positive intention and attitudes.
According to the ways of arranging colors with different illuminations, saturations and tones, we can experience various emotional changes. As it is thought that art programs using color schemes are desperately needed to improve mentality, this study aims to organize theoretical backgrounds based on previous references or data on coloring and analyse the effects of different color schemes on human psychology.
Also, this study examined processes color education was introduced in each period and compared the parts of color education in nine kinds of art textbooks in accordance to the 2009 Revised Curriculum to extract problems and develop countermeasures.
This study analysed diverse data on colors and the current statues of actual education, and suggested an emotional coloring program which can motivate students to have more interest in coloring and wake up their senses of coloring latent in individuals . It is expected that the following purposes will be achieved through the program suggested:
First students knew and understood concepts of colors through a psychological approach.
Second, as this program presented directions of coloring education and provided the base for coloring education.
Third, human emotional responses to colors were applied for coloring.
Fourth, coloring ability was enhanced.
