Abstract

This study is about of a Sahaeng Gasa in the latter period of the Joseon Dynasty. That is a work recreated in Korean from that was an existing Chinese record by Lee, Jong-eung, an official of the Joseon Dynasty. is a work that described the feelings and experiences of the author about the products of civilization of 10 countries after he visited the enthronement ceremony of Edward VII of England as a member of envoys to congratulate the ceremony. It was the transit time of the Joseon Dynasty toward to modern times. When the dynasty was suffering from national chaos, the author traveled to the West and experienced earlier the modern products of civilization. Through the course, the author who believed that China was the center of the world might have the chance to rethink of the West.
