전통문화 소재를 활용한 미술활동이 유아의 그리기표현 능력, 전통문화 인식과 태도에 미치는 효과

본 연구에서는 전통문화 소재를 활용한 미술활동이 그리기표현능력, 전통문화 인식과 태도에 미치는 효과에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보고자 한다.

본 연구의 연구문제는 다음과 같다. 1. 전통문화 소재를 활용한 미술활동이 유아의 그리기 표현능력에 미치는 영향은 어떠한가? 2. 전통문화 소재를 활용한 미술활동이 유아의 전통문화에 대한 인식 및 태도에 미치는 효과는 어떠한가?

본 연구 대상은 통제집단 A어린이집 만6세∼7세, 비교집단 D어린이집 만6세∼7세 각 20명의 어린이를 대상으로 연구를 실시하였다. 연구하고자 하는 대상의 아이들이 적고 한글을 모르는 아이들이 많아 7세의 아이들을 대상으로 하고자 하였으나, 7세 아이들이 부족하여 6세와 7세를 대상으로 하였다. 본 연구는 설문과정에서 한글을 모르는 유아들의 문제 이해를 돕기 위해 교사가 설문에 대한 설명이 있었으며 이때의 설명은 유아의 사고에 여향을 미치지 않는 범위에서 설명하도록 하였다. 본 연구는 유아들에게 전통미의식을 갖게 하는 것은 지속적인 지도가 필요하였다. 그러나 2개월 수업만으로 전통문화 인식과 미술표현능력을 확연하게 효과를 기대 하기는 어려웠다. 본 연구에서는 전통문화소재 전체를 활용한 미술능력과 인식을 2개월이라는 단기간 동안 이루어졌기 때문에 전통문화소재 전체를 포함시키지 못한 한계가 있었다.

본 연구는 2010년 12월 27일부터 2011년 2월 18까지 진행되었으며 교사훈련, 예비 검사, 사전검사, 사후검사 순으로 진행되었다.

본 연구의 수집된 자료는 S𝑝SS WIN 15.0 프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였다. 분석 기법으로는 전통문화 소재를 활용한 미술활동이 유아의 그리기 표현능력과 전통문화 인식, 그리고 전통문화 태도를 미치는 양향을 알아보기 위해 t-test(검정)를 실시하였다. 또한 전통문화 소재를 활용한 미술활동이 유아의 그리기 표현능력과 전통문화 인식, 그리고 전통문화 태도 향상 정도에 미치는 영향을 살펴보기 위해 𝑝aired t-test(검증)를 실시하였다.

본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 전통문화 소재를 활용한 미술활동이 유아의 그리기 표현능력이 유아들의 미적반응, 미술표현능력을 향상시켜 주는데 효과적 이였다. 즉, 전통문화경험을 하고 미술 활동을 한 유아들은 활동을 하지 않은 유아들 보다 미술표현능력에 있어서 더 많은 발전을 보였다. 둘째, 전통문화 소재를 활용한 미술활동이 유아의 전통문화에 대한 인식 및 태도에 미치는 효과는 사전 검사에서 실험집단과 통제집단의 유아들 전통의복과 전통가옥에 대한 구분을 할 수 있었으나 부연 설명은 하기 어려워하는 것으로 나타났었다. 그러나 사후 검사에서 실험집단은 전통의복과 전통가옥에 대한 부연 설명은 대부분 가능한 것으로 나타나 교육활동을 통한 효과가 있었던 것으로 나타났다.|ABSTRACT

The Effect of Art Activities Using Traditional Culture Materials on Young Children's Drawing Ability, Perception and Attitude of Traditional Culture

This study is to find the effect of art activities using traditional culture materials on young children's drawing ability, perception and attitude of traditional culture. Research questions for this study are as follow. First, is there a difference between a control group and an experimental group on the drawing ability? Second, is there a difference between a control group and an experimental group on the perception and attitude of traditional culture?

Participants of the study are 40 of 6-year-old young children(20 for a control group, 20 for an experimental group) in B nursery school of a rural area. Research tools used to measure the effect are drawing expression ability test, perception scale of traditional culture, and attitude scale of traditional culture. Duration of the study is from Dec. 27, 2010 to Feb. 18, 2011. The procedures of the study are teacher training, pre-test and post-test. Data were collected and analyzed using SPSS WIN 15.0 program. Analysis techniques consist of t-test and 𝑝aired t-test to find the effect of using traditional culture materials on early child's drawing ability, perception and attitude of traditional culture.

Research findings are as follows. First, the effect of art activities using traditional culture materials is statistically significant on young children's drawing ability of traditional culture. The traditional culture experience indicates to improve young children's expression ability of art.

Second, the effect of art activities using traditional culture materials on early child's perception and attitude of traditional culture is not statistically significant in pretest between the groups, but is statistically significant in post-test between the groups. The traditional culture experience indicates to improve young children's perception and attitude of traditional culture.
