비고츠키의 스캐폴딩을 적용한 음악수업 연구 : 클라리넷을 중심으로

Abstract

최근 클라리넷을 배우고자 하는 학생이 증가하고 있는 추세이다. 클라리넷을 효과적으로 지도하기 위해 최근 전통적인 교육방법의 한계와 문제점들을 극복하기 위한 대안의 모색으로서 기존과는 다른 인식론에서 출발하여 유의미한 상황 속에서 학습자 개개인이 환경과 사전경험에 영향을 받아 스스로 지식을 구성하고 의미를 만들어가도록 하는 교육방법들이 제안되고 있다. 그러한 움직임 중의 하나가 바로 구성주의라 할 수 있겠다. 다른 구성원들과의 사회적 상호작용에 의해 지식이 재구성되어야 한다는 ‘지식의 사회적 구성’을 강조하며, 이를 대표하는 학자로는 러시아의 비고츠키(Vygotsky)를 들 수 있다. 비고츠키는 학습이 발달에 선행하여야한다는 독특한 학습과 발달과의 관계를 주장하면서, 학습자의 능력을 중시하는 '근접발달영역'을 제시하였다. 음악은 다른 어떤 것보다도 개인차가 큰 분야이다. 이는 다시 말하면 개인의 잠재력이 타 분야 보다 더 클 수 있다는 것이며, 이는 곧 효과적인 음악교육을 하는데 개개인의 잠재력을 발달시켜 줄 수 있는 교수-학습방법이 필요한 것이다. 이에 '근접발달영역'의 개념과 더불어 학습이 발달을 이끈다는 비고츠키의 학습이론을 클라리넷음악교육에 적용하여 이전의 클라리넷음악교육에서 얻을 수 없었던 것을 얻을 수 있을 것이라 생각한다. 학습자의 클라리넷 교수 방법을 통하여 음악적 잠재력을 계발하는데 그 목적을 두고 학습자의 클라리넷 음악적 잠재력을 발달시킬 수 있는 학습방법을 비고츠키의 인지발달 이론을 적용하여 연구하였다. 비고츠키의 인지발달이론에 대한 기초적인 이론은 교육학과 비고츠키 이론에 관한 문헌을 연구하였으며, 이를 기초로 한 클라리넷 음악교수-학습 방법으로 스캐폴딩설정을 사용한 학습, 언어를 활용한 학습, 협력학습을 중심으로 실제 수업에 쓰일 수 있는 구체적인 학습안을 예시하였다. 또한 클라리넷을 시작하는 초보자들을 지도함에 있어 악기에 대한 기초지식과 연주법을 쉽게 배울 수 있게 기초적 악기 다루기, 클라리넷의 호흡법, 취구법, 운지법, 텅잉 그리고 클라리넷의 실기지도법에 관해 알아보고자 한다. 또한 초보자들이 체계적으로 클라리넷을 배워 수준 높은 연주를 할 수 있도록 하여 클라리넷을 널리 알려 대중화 하는데 있다. 보다 쉽고, 체계적인 지도방법을 통하여 학생들에게 학습되어 진다면 그들의 연주 기량 향상에 크게 도움이 될 것이다.|The number of students who want to learn a clarinet is increasing these days. There are some proposals came up as alternatives of traditional teaching methods of playing that instrument which seem to have some limitations. Those alternatives are based on a notion that learners construct their own knowledge in a meaningful context with their schema and surrounded environment. This theory is called the Constructivism. Vygotsky, the Russian constructivist, claimed that one's knowledge is affected by interaction with other members of society. He proposed a theory named ZPD(Zone of Proximal Development) which has emphasis on learner's ability and insisted that learning precedes development. Differences among learners' musical talent are relatively bigger than other fields. Therefore some certain teaching methods which can develop the learners' potential ability effectively are needed. A method based on the Vygotsky's theory could be one of these. I examined a method whose objective is developing learners' competence of playing clarinet with using the Vygotsky's cognitive development theory. First, based on his theory, I made a teaching plan which includes use of scaffolding, learning through language(oral) instruction, and some elements that can be used in collaborative lesson. Also I am going to find an effective way of teaching basic knowledge of the instrument and skills such as breathing and embouchure, fingering, tonguing to beginners of clarinet. And through that help beginners learn how to play the clarinet systematically lead then to play with the polish. Learners may can learn how to play clarinet more effectively with instruction which is systematic and easy for them.
