ABSTRACT

Teaching Methods of Flute
for the After School Program at Middle School.

The purpose of this study is to present a guideline and curriculum for selecting the appropriate teaching method, that can foster the sensibility to react to the musical constituents and the expressive ability to present a artistic meaning of a musical piece and one' own feel and sense, in middle school hours for educational activities of students' speciality and aptitude using the flute, using the flute, especially through the ensemble performance which makes the best use of group teaching as well as helps to improve a musical thinking power. The above presentation will help to realize this study's ultimate purpose that students love a music and mack a living of a music through developing their musical potential, originality and plentiful sentiment.
As theoretical background, this paper investigated the ability of a presentation in instrumental teaching and a meaning of the ensemble performance and educational activities of students' speciality and aptitude in the development of musical ability. This paper includes follows : study a training of the basic style of rendition centralized on the presentation of the musical constituents, to form the step-by-step ensemble a musical and the teaching method, and suggest solutions for the improvement of the problems detected in the ensemble education.
Hopefully, this plan for group teaching to learn flute will be a help in the actual learning field, and through this way of educating, will arouse learners' interest, improve their learning efficiency, inspire their will to find their will to find their own aptitude, and enhance the degree of confidence and satisfaction for their speciality and aptitude.
