高等學校 漢文敎科書의 漢詩 硏究

Abstract

본고에서는 第7次 敎育課程에 따른 高等學校 漢文敎科書에 수록된 한시 작품에 대하여 분석해 보았다. “선인들의 삶과 지혜, 사상과 감정을 이해하고, 건전한 가치간과 바람직한 인성을 함양하며, 우리 생활 전반에 면면히 이어 온 전통문화를 바르게 계승하고 창조적으로 발전시키는데 기여하는” 漢文科의 성격에 따라 漢文敎育에 있어서 漢詩學習은 다른 어떤 영역에 비해 소홀히 할 수 없는 필수적인 장르이다. 따라서 현행 10鍾 교과서는 어떤 작품을 학습하도록 되어 있는지를 분석하고 앞으로의 작품 수록 방향에 대하여 연구했다. 첫째, Ⅱ장의 韓國과 中國 작품의 作家別 分析이다. 한국시의 경우, 37명의 작가의 작품을 43首에 걸쳐 수록하였고, 중국시의 경우, 15명 작가의 작품을 23首에 걸쳐 수록하고 있었다. 각 나라의 시기별로는 한국은 조선시대의 작품이, 중국은 당나라 시대의 작품이 대부분을 차지할 정도로 높은 비중으로 수록되어 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이것은 이 두 시기가 한시미학적인 측면에서 詩作活動이 활발했던 배경으로 인해 나타나는 결과라 할 수 있다. 하지만 자칫 조선시대와 당의 詩作만이 가치 있는 것으로 받아들여 질 수 있는 경향이 있으므로 작가별 작품 선별에 있어서 주의가 필요하다. 둘째, Ⅲ장의 작품 內容別 分析이다. 여기서는 전체 66首 중에 시의 일부만을 수록한 작품을 제외한 59首를 대상으로 분석하였다. 옛 선인들의 한시 작품에는 자연을 소재로 한 시가 상당수를 차지하는데 敎科書의 10種에 수록된 총 59首 중에서 자연을 소재로 한 詩는 21편으로 약 33%를 차지하고 있었다. 이는 한시가 自然抒情과 인간의 보편적인 情緖를 표현하는 가장 대표적인 문학 장르라는 것을 설명해주는 것이다. 또한 인간과 자연과의 合一을 통해 정서를 함양하고, 자연의 이해에 대한 접근을 통해서 바람직한 인간성을 배양할 수 있는 價値觀을 형성하는 데 기여하는 장르임을 보여주고 있다. 情恨과 懷古를 노래한 작품으로는 고향에 대한 그리움의 시, 離別의 情恨에 대한 詩, 懷古와 述懷에 대한 시로 세분하였다. 전체 59首 중에서 19首로 약 28%를 차지하고 있었다. 인간의 내면에 지니고 있는 정서를 예술적으로 표출했던 한시의 한 면모를 볼 수 있다. 그런데 이 중에는 세월의 무상함이 느껴지는 작품도 존재하는데 꿈과 희망이 있는 학습자의 연령을 고려하였을 때 학습하기에 적합하지 않은 작품들이 수록되어 있다. 이러한 작품은 교과서에서 지양하도록 해야 한다. 憂國愛民의 내용을 다루고 있는 시는 憂國의 忠情과 愛民精神이 나타난 시로 분류하였는데 전체 작품 중 13首로 약 19%의 비중을 차지하고 있다. 遊戱의 시는 한시감상의 정서적인 측면보다 作詩자체가 유희의 수단이었던 모습을 알 수 있게 하는 작품들로 이루어졌다. 교과서 수록 한시작품 전체에서 약 5%의 비중을 차지하여 극히 소수의 작품만을 수록하고 있었다. Ⅳ장에서는 앞에서 서술한 한문과의 교육과정 성격을 고려하여 漢詩 作品의 收錄 改善 方向을 구체적인 작품을 들어 제시하였다. 논의의 요지가 되는 작품으로는 다음과 같다. 勸學을 다루고 있는 詩로 陶淵明과 朱熹의 를 통해 학문의 중요성을 일깨우도록 하였다. 高句麗 將帥인 乙支文德의 시와 李穡의 를 통해 浩然之氣의 정신을 기를 수 있는 작품을 제시하였다. 또한 憂國衷情을 논하는 데 있어서 대표적인 작품이라 할 수 있는 黃玄의 와 興味誘發을 위한 작품으로 와 金時習의 작품을 추가적으로 제시하였다. 또한 형제간의 우애의 중요성을 노래한 曹植의 와 부모님에 대한 효의 의미를 일깨우는 孟郊의 을 제시하였다. 마지막으로 杜甫의 을 통해 인간관계에 있어서 信義의 의미를 일깨울 수 있도록 하였다. 방대한 작품 속에서 選詩를 한다는 것은 작품을 보는 여간한 눈썰미와 識見을 가지지 않고서는 쉽지 않은 일이다. 하지만 본고에서는 학습자들의 바람직한 인성함양과 건전한 가치관 형성에 일조하는 작품을 토대로 제시하였다. 교육 현장에 임했을 때에 학생들을 어떻게 가르칠 것인가를 염두하고 교육과정과 그에 따른 교과서 구성에 신중을 가해야 할 것이다.|This study analysed Chinese poetry collected in textbooks of high schools according to the 7th Curriculum. Learning Chinese poetry is a required program in education of classical Chinese according to its nature that contributes to understanding life, wisdom, ideas and emotion of ancestors, cultivation of desirable personality, proper inheritance and creative development of traditional cultures. Therefore, this study analysed the entire Chinese poetry collected in ten different types of current textbooks as follows: First, Chapter Ⅱ analysed the poetry by Korean and Chinese writers. The textbooks collect 43 poems by Korean writers and 23 by 37 Chinese writers. In respect to periods, Korean poems collected in the textbooks were mainly written in Joseon period and Chinese poems were mainly written in Tang Dynasty. It indicates that writing poetry was very popular in an aesthetic aspect of Chinese poetry in the two periods. However, as only poetry written in Joseon period and Tang Dynasty tended to be recognized as valuable, careful selection of poetry should be required. Second, Chapter Ⅲ analysed the contents of the poetry. Here, 59 of 66 poems were analysed except those whose part is collected. As ancestors usually used nature as materials of their poetry, 21 of a total of 59 poems(33%) collected in 10 different types of textbooks used nature as materials. It indicates that Chinese poetry is the most representative literary genre that express natural lyricism and universal emotion. It contributes to cultivation of emotion through unification of man and nature and desirable personality through understanding nature. The poetry on sentiment, big worries, and reflection were categorized into three parts: those on longing for hometown, those on sorrow of separation, and those on reflection and reminiscence. 19 of a total of 59 poems(about 28%) represent human inherent emotion artistically. However, some of them are not appropriate for learners with hopes and dreams to learn in consideration of their ages because they can make learners feel transience of life. It is thought that such poems should not be published in textbooks. 13 poems on patriotism(about19%) were categorized into those on patriotism and those on love of the people. The poetry on amusements is introduced to show that writing poetry is a means of amusement rather than focusing on appreciation of poetry. It is only about 5% of the poetry published in textbooks. Chapter Ⅳ presented directions to improve collection of Chinese poetry in considering the nature of the curriculum on Chinese Classics using specific poems as an example. The key poems to be examined are presented as follows: by Tao Yenming and Chu Hsi Joohee designed to awaken the importance of learning: by Euljimunduk, a general of Goreyo Period and by Leesaek to raise a great morale, , a representative poetry on patriotism by Hwang Hyeon and by Hwang Hyeon and the poetry by Kim, Byeong-yeon, , a poem on friendship between brothers by Jo Sik, , a poem on filial piety by Maenggyo, and by Tu Fu to awaken the meaning of fidelity. It is not easy to select representative poems to teach from enormous collection of poetry, but we examined poetry that can contribute to desirable personality and healthy senses of value. Based on the results of the study, it is suggested that we should pay attention to developing curriculum and organization of textbooks focusing on how to teach students.
