This thesis is researched in an effort to complement widespread problems in korean education system resulting from the fact that various students, who have different capacity and competence, use the same unified textbooks and learning materials.
By dividing each student into differently-leveled groups considering his own ability, developing and utilizing the teaching-learning materials suitable for each student's ability and applying such classified methods to each individual, I propose getting each student interested in studies and enhancing student's learning ability in the advanced class and encouraging every student in the low-level class to improve his learning interests and excellences in the studies in order to prevent downwardness of his studies.
The aim of this thesis is ultimately to propose the desirable teaching methods to improve students' problem-solving ability in mathematics.
In this thesis, I divided students into three differently-leveled groups (advanced, intermediate and beginner) and developed teaching-learning materials and taught them according to the performance ability of the individuals. And then I investigated and analyzed the changing of students' attitude to mathematics and their schoolwork achievement.
