濯纓 金馹孫의 師友와 政治活動

Abstract

濯纓 金馹孫(1464-1498)은 15세기 후반 훈구파와 사림파의 대립과 갈등 속에서 20대 후반에서 30대 전반까지 관직을 두루 역임하면서 집권 훈구파의 비행과 특권의식을 바로잡고 성리학적 이상정치의 실현을 위한 언론창달과 기강 확립, 세조의 왕위찬탈과정에서의 은폐되고 왜곡된 역사를 있는 그대로 史草에 기록함으로써 역사를 바로잡기 위해 온 정성을 기울인 초기 사림파의 대표적인 인물이다. 김일손이 살다간 15세기 후반은 조선왕조가 그 안정기에 접어 들어가는 시기였지만, 세조와 성종이 집권한 이후 등장한 공신집단들은 정치권력과 토지경제의 기반을 독점적으로 장악하고 타 세력의 견제와 간섭을 거의 받지 않는 상태에서 정국운영을 주도해 갔다. 훈구파가 정국을 독단하던 시기에 대립적 성향을 띤 사림파가 등장하여 양 세력 간의 갈등과 대립이 전개되기 시작한다. 김일손은 바로 이러한 시기에 등장하여 훈구파 주도의 정국 하에서 야기되는 일체의 모순과 비리를 통렬히 비판하고, 그에 대체되어야 할 대안을 제시하였다. 특히 김일손은 어린 시절부터 생육신과의 만남을 통해 세조의 왕위찬탈과정을 전해 듣고 과거를 정확히 이해하였으며, 잘못된 역사를 바로잡겠다는 문제의식을 발판으로 기억 속에 묻힐 역사의 진실을 복원하기 위하여 세조의 왕위찬탈과정에서의 은폐된 역사의 진실을 꺼내어 『실록』에 채록하게 된다. 김일손은 사초에 어린 시절부터 교유하였던 생육신과의 만남을 통하여, 그리고 그와 교유하였던 사림들과의 관계 속에서 기억 속에 묻힐 역사를 복원해 낸 것이다. 이것은 기억의 역사이다. 수많은 사람들로부터 들은 역사의 진실을 규명해 내고 역사의 정의와 새로운 희망을 모색하기 위한 기억투쟁을 김일손은 전개한 것이다. 한 시대를 살아가는 경세가이자 역사가로서 김일손은 현실을 냉철하게 인식하였고, 그 현실에 강력하게 대처하였던 것이다.|Tacyeong Kimilson (1464-1498) took an official post when he was in late 20s and early 30s under the condition of opposition and conflicts between Hungupa and Salimpa in late 15th century. He as a representative Salimpa tried to punish wrongdoing and privileges of Hungupa in power, promote speech freedom, improve moral fiber, and record concealed and distorted history in the process of usurpation of the throne as it was for realization of Confucian ideal politics. In the late 15th century when Kimilson lived, the Josun Dynasty entered into a stable period in politics, but groups of meritorious retainers appearing after King Sejo and Seongjong had political power dominated and managed political power and land economy without restraint and intervention by other forces. In the period when Hungupa dominated the political power, opposite Salimpa appeared and conflicts and opposition between two parties were developed. Kimilson who appeared at this time severely criticized contradiction and irrationality raised in the politics dominated by Hungupa, and presented alternative suggestions. In particular, Kimilson understood the past throne usurpation by king Sejo through meeting with Saengyuksin when he was a child. Based on the mind to correct the wrong past, he uncovered and recorded the truth of concealed history to recover the true history that would be concealed in memory in Sillok. Kimilson revived the true history through meeting Sangyuksin with whom he kept company and relations with friends. It was a history of memory. He identified the truth from history collected from a great number of people and struggled to find justice of history and a new hope. As an administer and historian, he recognized reality cooly and dealt with it powerfully.
