Abstract

The is the story that solves hardship which was occured until Suk-Hyang met Lee Seon and the discord which is caused by in marriage, finally they return toward the Heaven. Because of this story in the , the study of pre-scholars emphasized that the is loved story very often. And yet, it is not only to talk about love. In the , while karma from heaven is emphasized, the difficulties until karma is accomplished are also important part. The story is formed by Gyun Wang's prophecy which is set up in the beginning of the story. Mr. Wang exactly predicts the course of the main characters' life, and his prediction comes true without any little difference in this text. However, his prophecy is not a just private prediction but a Heaven's will. It can be confirmed not only the life of a hero but also the others. The meaning of the story through is that we human being have to follow the Heaven's will in our life. Therefor, is based on fatalism. But we can't pass over lightly that fatalism of is not a just passive apprehension of the truth but affirmative reasonableness or the underlying principle of life. Also the content which people give animals some favor and animals give people back the favor is spread out minutely in . This favor is set before being born of Suk Hyang it forms it goes the structure of the work continuously. This is because the thought, which animal and human, nature and human cannot be separated, and they are essentially same, is reflected.
