Abstract

In the mathematics class, proper engineering tools should be actively used to select proper mathematics contents for the use of the tools and to prepare for effective teaching-learning programs. At first, practical and detailed investigation on the use of calculators and computers was required based on textbooks of current mathematics subject curriculum. This study firstly investigated systems, development methods and construction of contents of calculator related unit of practical mathematics textbooks to disclose problems at implementation of contents of calculator related unit and to discuss them. Therefore, following researches could cognize and discuss widely some of the problems at implementation of the calculator unit that the study investigated, and they were demanded to find out solutions and alternatives. Finally, other regular mathematics subjects than practical mathematics subject were required to present contents of calculator related curriculum in detail and to construct textbooks in solid and organized way.
