건강 걷기 운동이 비만 남자 중학생 신체조성 및 체력에 미치는 영향

- Abstract
- The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of health walking exercise on body composition and increase of physical fitness for male obese middle school students during 12 weeks. For this study, 10 obese students were selected who volunteered in an attempt to this case study from M middle school in Gwangju city. They had been trained for 50 minutes in five times a week with the mean speed of health walking exercise of 6km/h. This result was carried by SPSS Win 11.0 statistical program.
1) The body weight decreased about 4.7% after the exercise than before.
2) The body circumference respectively decreased in the ratio of chest circumference 1.6%, abdominal circumference 2.%, hip circumference 2.8%, thigh circumference 4.9%, low leg circumference 0.4%, and arm circumference 0.4% after the exercise than before.
3) The body fat skinfold thickness respectively decreased in the ratio of subscapular 2.3%, arm 4.6%, side 4.7%, abdominal 6.8%, thigh 3.4%, obesity 16.6%, and body mass index 0.8% after the exercise than before.
4) The basic physical fitness respectively increased in the ratio of 50m running 0.8%, push-ups 3.7%, sit-up test 9.4%, standing long jump 37.3%, sit and reach 5.5%, and long distance running 0.5% after the exercise than before.
The results suggest that health walking exercise program in the ratio of 6km/h fast walking shows significantly positive change for obese middle school boys in physique variation (weight, chest circumference, arm circumference, abdominal circumference, thigh circumference, low leg circumference, hip circumference), in body fat variation (fat skinfold thickness), and in basic physical fitness variation (sprint, muscular strength, endurance, flexibility, speed).
The proper health walking exercise adequate to a person seems to be significantly effective to improve body composition and physical fitness for obese middle school boys.
