Abstract

Both Hwang Jin-i and Lee Mae-chang are gee-sang poets in Ye dynasty. Hwang Jin-i left six poem in shi-jo and seven chinese poetry and all of them have beauty of art. Thus those works have been on the tongues of people until the present. Lee Mae-chang left poetry of Mae-chang in which a poem in shi-jo and 58 chinese poetry are printed. This graduation theses developed existing studies which was made individually and observed carefully a common point and difference between two of them. In writing the sorrow of parting and loves, her positive and aggressive self-consciousness is open-heartedly expressed, and a strong minded life of elegant youth also is reflected well. On the other hand, Lee Mae -chang tried to make a heart pining for an absent love come true in dream and spiritual world, for dream and spiritual world is described as space of hope that keeps his existence. Aa a result of study on Hwang Jin-i's and Mae -chang's literatures, first, judging from writer's sense represented in subject, we can see that the theme of affection and temptation is mentioned only in Hwang Jin-i's literature and the theme of an immortal thought is mentioned only in Mae -chang's literature and we can find that, for this, Hwang Jin-i expressed her feelings straightly , while Mae-chang used, depending on other objects, metaphorical expressions. Secondly, judging from a view of the world expressed in works, Hwang Jin-i didn't deplore her destiny of gee-sang, on the contrary, lived her given life as positive as possible . but Having skeptical a view of the world about the life of gee-sang, Mae -chang pathetically sang of her ill-fated destiny in a poem.
