Johannes Brahms(1883- 897) is one of the greatest composer of German. Brahms composed the 'German Requiem'. It took along periord of time for him to sort out his thoughts to compose the 'German Requiem' after his mother and schuman´s death. It is on highest position above the all products for the choral music and orchestra. Many composers composed . T. Victoria´s, W. A Mozart´s, L. Cherubini´s, and G. Faure´s are famous for polyphony Requim. Among their works, Mozart, Berlioz, Faure, and Verdi are compared within the . P. Hindemith´s , and E. B .Britten´ are excluded in the study on account of the different work from the Catholic church ceremony music. Mozart´s is made up of the text for the special Mass in honor of the dead. but he composed only to the eighth phrase of 「Lacrimosa」Which is the last song of the third 「Sequentia」. the rest of the work was finished by his disciple SuessMayer. Berlioz used the experimental large scale music to show the dramatic feature of the last day in . Faure´s showed the wish for the happiness of life after death by organizing it into a small composition. Brahms´s 'German Requiem' made him to become famous as a composer, and it is extremely Christianitic which contains Protestantism´s rivival phenomenon, not Catholicism´s. His sprit of song seasons well with Sonata form and the choral misic connects to a cappella and there, it makes a very soft sound. Brahms´ Requiem is played by rigorous and elaborating chorus with romantic and medium sized orchestra. There is no enormity and solemnity in his music.
