문화적 도시재생과 문화관광의 상관성

Abstract

테오드르드 폴 김의 『도시클리닉』에서는 미래도시의 정책을“가보고 싶은 도시”가 아니라 “살고 싶은 도시”로 만드는 것을 최종 목표로 설정해야 한다고 언급했다. 한국의 도시개발 정책은 문화도시, 생태도시, 최첨단 과학도시, 행정복합도시, 신도시, 기업도시, 국제도시 등의 슬로건 아래 온 도시가 마치 경쟁하듯이 개발정책을 펼쳐왔다. 이러한 무분별한 도시 중에서 진정 가보고 싶은 아니, 방문하고 싶은 도시가 아니라 살고 싶은 도시는 얼마나 될까? 오늘날 우리가 추구하고자 하는 아름다운 도시란 무엇이고 이를 위해 어떻게 도시를 가꾸어 나갈 것인지를 생각해보아야 한다. 본 연구는 이러한 점에 관심을 가지고 문화적 도시재생의 의미를 재고해보고 문화적 도시재생이 가져오는 문화관광의 상관성에 대해서 고찰하고자 한다. 본 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해서, 광주광역시 문화적 도시재생 프로그램의 하나인 “광주 폴리”와 프랑스 파리의 라 빌레뜨공원, 영국의 글래스고, 일본의 쓰레기 섬에서 건축과 예술의 천국으로 재탄생한 나오시마 섬을 성공으로 이끈 도시재생의 핵심 거점인 미술관을 비교 분석하고자 한다. 사례를 통해서 문화적 도시재생에 따른 문화관광 산업의 발전 현황 및 특징을 살펴보고, 광주와 다른 도시의 차이점을 도출해 내고자 한다. 아울러 사례의 도시들이 추구하는 문화적 도시재생과 문화관광의 목표와 발전 가능성을 비교하고자 한다. 결론적으로는 이러한 사례를 통해서 과연 이 시대에 필요한 문화적 도시재생의 목적은 무엇이며, 우리가 추구하는 진정한 참 도시를 위한 재생의 방법이 무엇인지에 대해 연구자의 의견을 제시하고자 한다. |In Theodore Paul Kim's 『Ville Clinique』, he pointed out that the city' s innovation policy pursuing the future is not to make the city that people want to visit, but its ultimate goal is to make the city where people want to live. Korea's urban development policy was made as if the entire cities were competing under the slogan of culture city, eco-city, high-tech science city, multi-functional administrative city, new city, corporate city and international city. How many cities do you want to live in, and not a city you want to visit among these irrational cities? Today, we have to think about what is a beautiful city we really want to pursue and how we plan to cultivate it. Therefore, this study is the relationship between cultural urban regeneration and cultural tourism with an interest in this point. The purpose of this study is to clarify the meaning of urban regeneration and to examine the impact of cultural urban regeneration brought from cultural tourism. In order to accomplish the purpose of the study, this research looks into "Gwangju Folly" which is a part of urban regeneration in Gwangju Metropolitan city and Parc de La Villette, Glasgow, and the art museum which is important key of urban revitalization and led success to small island Naoshima which is reborn as a paradise of architecture and art from a garbage island in Japan. This study examines the current development and characteristics of cultural tourism by cultural urban regeneration according to these cases and tries to clarify the difference between cultural urban regeneration in Gwangju and foreign cases. In addition, I would like to compare cultural urban regeneration and the aims and development possibility of cultural tourism pursued by the four cities. In conclusion, this paper will draw the relationship between cultural urban regeneration and cultural tourism. Finally, this paper has a meaningful implication, which suggests the answers to the question of what is the authenticity of in this cultural tourism and what true cities we are pursuing.
