해양경찰공무원의 외상 후 성장에 영향을 미치는 요인

Abstract

본 연구는 해양경찰공무원의 외상 후 성장에 영향을 미치는 요인을 규명하고자 하였다. 연구대상은 2019년 6월 17일부터 7월 31일까지 해양경찰교육원에서 기본 교육 및 전문교육을 받은 해양경찰관 293명을 대상으로 시행되었다. 자료는 SPSS version 21.0 프로그램을 이용하여 빈도와 백분율, 평균과 표준편차, t-검정과 분산분석, 피어슨의 상관분석과 다중회귀분석으로 분석하였다. 연구결과 해양경찰공무원의 외상 후 성장은 평균 39.72±16.56점이었고, 회복탄력성 평균 84.46±9.85점, 사회적지지 평균 86.16±16.21점, 집단문화 9.50±2.26점, 합리문화 10.79±1.94점, 발전문화 9.61±1.95점, 위계문화 10.96±2.00점이었다. 외상 후 성장에 영향을 미치는 요인을 살펴보면 결혼여부(β=.194, p=.002), 흡연여부(β=.152, p=.010), 규칙적인 운동여부(β=-.185, p<.001), 총 근무기간(β=-.154, p=.033), 회복탄력성(β=.310, p<.001), 사회적지지(β=.250, p<.001), 집단문화(β=.158, p=.004)가 외상 후 성장에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 확인되었고, 이들 변수의 설명력은 56.5%이었다. 본 연구 결과로 해양경찰공무원의 외상 후 성장은 개인적인 특성 뿐 아니라 가족과 동료들의 지지, 근무 환경 및 문화에 의해 영향을 받았다. 향후 스트레스의 완화를 위한 조직 차원의 관리가 적극적으로 시행되어야 하며, 가족 및 동료와의 유대감을 강화하고 친근한 분위기가 형성될 수 있는 근무환경 및 문화의 변화가 이루어지면 외상 후 성장을 높일 수 있을 것으로 사료 된다.|Objectives: The purpose of this study was to identify factors influencing the posttraumatic growth of maritime police officers. Methods: The subjects include 293 maritime police officers that received basic and professional education at the Korea Coast Guard Academy on June 17 ∼ July 31, 2019. Data was analyzed in frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, variance analysis, Pearson's correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis with the SPSS Version 21.0 program. Results: The findings show that the maritime police officers scored mean 39.72±16.56 points in posttraumatic growth, mean 84.46±9.85 in resilience, mean 86.16±16.21 in social support, 9.50±2.26 in collective culture, 10.79±1.94 in rational culture, 9.61±1.95 in developmental culture, and 10.96±2.00 in hierarchical culture. The study examined which factors would have impacts on their posttraumatic growth and found that marital status(β=.194, p=.002), smoking(β=.152, p=.010), regular exercise(β=-.185, p<.001), total duration of service(β=-.154, p=.033), resilience(β=.310, p<.001), social support (β=.250, p<.001), and collective culture(β=.158, p=.004) had impacts on their posttraumatic growth. These variables had the explanatory power of 56.5%. Conclusion: The findings of the study demonstrate that the posttraumatic growth of maritime police officers was under the influence of supports from families and peers, working environment, and culture as well as their individual characteristics. In the future, there should be active management at the organizational level to relieve their stress. If there are changes to their working environment and culture to reinforce their bond with their families and peers and create a familiar atmosphere, they will contribute to the improvement of their posttraumatic growth.
