Abstract
The purpose of this study is to look at the process of implementation and collaboration through action-learning-based collective mentoring implementation. The current counseling practice system is vague and not manual, and the support system for it is narrow. As an alternative to supporting hands-on training from the point of view of trainees, the researchers presented hands-on group mentoring to enable prospective play therapists and undergraduate trainees to become cooperative and bring about meaningful changes. Using the participatory action research methodology, researchers and participants created the study together through constant repetition of the plan-observation and execution-reflection and reflection-replanation. Collective mentoring was conducted over a total of 10 sessions, and data were collected through focus group interviews, mentoring and lab reflection logs, entire course recordings and recordings, and data analysis was conducted through structural coding and emetic coding and category analysis. As a result, the four mentees who participated in the study showed more questions and reflections through their own experiences as time went by, indicating that the interaction between mentors and mentees also changed from interviewees to hosts. In addition, through mentoring and hands-on connections, I realized that I could do it myself and could actively participate in the practice. Finally, mentees experienced the stability of each other and shared their cases in a variety of ways, allowing them to have the courage to stand alone. This study found that mentee, the researcher, was not the subject, but Mentee, the participant, was the subject, and that the role of mentor and leader was very important in the hands-on experience. It is also meaningful that he emphasized the importance of integration with practical knowledge as well as conceptual knowledge, and looked at the practice site with the eyes of trainees who practice through collaborative relationships between researchers and participants. Therefore, this study could be used as the basis for various hands-on networks for organizing the counseling and play-treatment hands-on training courses later.
