L.v. Beethoven, R. Schumann, C. Debussy에 의한 졸업연주 프로그램의 해설

Abstract

This thesis aims to help understand “L. v. Beethoven's 6 Variations in F Major, Op. 34”, “R. Schumann Piano Sonata No. 3 in f minor, Op. 14”, and “C. Debussy Préludes, Premier Livre No. 8, No. 9, L. 117” by reviewing on composers' lives and characteristics of the repertoires. L. v. Beethoven(1770-1827) is a on the delegate composer of the Classical world, and he led the Classical world to the Romantic world. He composed 32 Piano sonatas, 20 Piano variations, and “6 Variations in F Major, Op. 34” is highly appreciate as his master work in his period. “Piano Sonata No. 3 in f minor, Op. 14” composed by R. Schumann(1810-1856) is the best Piano Sonata amongst his piano works. It shows the composer’s personal solidarity through its sincere coloring of f minor. the first movement prove a parallel form that is a ‘new form’ in contrast to the classical normative form. By implying formal repetition, truncated recapitulation follows the exposition and development sections. Besides, it symbolizes Schumann’s unusual style with strong octave, syncopation, sudden comparison with dotted rhythm, and so on forth. the second movement scherzo is a three-section composite type, loads conjunct motion through dotted rhythms, wide bounding notes, and compares from staccato and legato, The third movement is impressively organized with four variations and the theme from ‘Clara motto’, which unite the entire piece. The fourth movement diverges far from the sonata form to create a parallel form. "Prélude lèr livre No. 8, No. 9, which is composed by C. Debussy(1862-1918). He uses various scales such as pentatonic scale, Whole-tone scale, Church modes, and Chromatic scale to project exotic mood. Debussy credited for his own style of music through this new near to sound, and it hold the music history of the 20th century.
